I was going to start a new thread but this is a similar topic. If I got some uprated speakers, like the alpine ones above. Would I notice a decent increase in audio quality. I know the ph1 172 has a 60W HU in it, but is it a weak point or will I get decent sound with uprated speakers.

I was going to get PH2 side strips for mine then decided against it. I love the black, it makes the car look more aggressive and old skool which is what I love about the car. The only PH2 part on my car is the lights which I think suit it and don't soften it. I've got no more PH2 plans for...

I'm going to be buying a decat off Dazdon if it will fit my car. It comes off his 172 cup so its from a ph2. It has a blanking sensor in so that's fine. My car has the single sensor twin cat on. So basically will the ph2 decat fit my ph1 providing the lamba sensor whole is bunged. Thanks...

I wasn't slating it mate. Its a good car. What I meant was its not a 250bhp+ and 250lbft+ properly turbo'd car.

Its a bit of a drive but Fred at BTM Performance gets about as good a reputation as anybody.

I'm undecided on turbos. I want to try a properly boosted car. Only driven two a Clio TCE and dci 86 hardly counts as a turbo car.

So true. The N/A 1600cc is dead now. Modern cars are too heavy to be genuinely quick with a N/A 1600cc. Albeit the 2000cc N/A is dead too bar the Clio 200 and CTR i'm stuggling to think of another N/A hot hatch.

They're a very nice car mate. Good choice. My mates got the poverty spec 2.2i one and even that has an awesome spec etc. Build quality wasn't exactly as I expected though. Door handle plastic came off in my hand. Still leaps and bounds ahead of a Clio though.

I'm a big fan of this car mate. Realy like the way your going with it. Wish i'd have modded my 1.2 now.

That will certainly pull well. I supose the power will depend on what power the engine is putting out as it is now. Have you thought about matched inlets? Big weak point on the 172.

I used to love that about my 1.2, could rag it to the limiter in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and not even be speeding on a 70mph road. My usual redline in 2nd and 3rd then a little push in 4th puts me over 100 in the 172 :dapprove: where as it would be 80 in the 1.2 What do the GT's do in 3rd?

I like your Scooby Gaz. Its comfy, pretty fast and grips well. Its just not as raw as a stripped Clio or Evo. I wanted products too. I have no money untill I get paid on friday though. Does he do mail order Naith? I want that banana stuff.
