We had a couple of those and go tight then suddenly slip.There is a bleed screw on the t'stat housing(10or8mm bolt),you can see it just below the temp sensor switch in the picture,below coil pack.

I wouldn't trust those hose clips as they are not very good,if you can change them for jubilee clips.
