I think you have made the right decision Mark,plus you can get straight on with it when it comes back rather than faffing around.
Ask them to make you a few rattle cans of the paint so you can patch up any scratches etc,because there will be some,however careful you are.

Had all the tyres turned around today to give us some sharp edges,that confused them at ATS.One wheel has got about 100gms weight on it to get it balanced lol.
Depends on how much you cut off,we did ours in two little bits just to make sure we didn't cut too much off(you can't stick it back on).
I have slightly shorter arms than Jay and was having trouble selecting 1,3 and5th when strapped tightly.Now it's easy.

Trouble is Dave,you only get one chance to do it,a completely bare shell is a rare thing.
To answer the cost,it's alot of work(labour) to rub down and prepare the inside of a car with a cage in it,harder than the outside and it's very difficult to do.
Thats what my mate told me after I picked...
I was quoted not far off that from a mate who does all Prodrive stuff,did it my self in the end,wish I hadn't,it's a real ballache getting around the rollcage etc.

We've got our first race next week, and all I keep seeing is fkn crashes on here.
Shows what speed they are doing,it goes on for the whole main straight.
We run without the rear arb,although it's fitted just incase.We find with the set up we've got makes it too twitchy with it connected.
We shall only use it at Anglesey as its a very understeery circuit.

Just proves,whatever you chuck on,it all needs setting up properly.And yes it was far too low,your driveshafts would have been at a terrible angle and your roll centre would have been way below ground level.
