thats the exact reason i sold mine.
when i sold it i made sure it was mint, everything in perfect working order... i just couldnt see myself spending any more money on it, so traded it.
yup, the Ph1's came with every option available to the car as standard :)
it was the Ph2's owards which had it on the options list, hence why i pulled the changer out of my 172 before i traded it... to stick in the 182
thats a fault with your car, easily fixed by moving the O/S engine mount forward on its bracket.
Check that the exhaust isnt blowing. Also check little things like if its got the rare aluminium bonnet or shift light.
