I have never seen the plates that Mike's on about at all - I have seen like 123 X 123 though (a bit like diplomat plates, but with an x in the middle)

Persoanlly i'd save the money and buy the car that the engine actually came in:) By the time you've messed about having an engine conversion & insuring it its prob cheaper to just buy the 172;) I know a lot of people moan about insurance (not you) but it'll work out cheaper in the long run...

Having owned a standard valver & driven a mk2 172 a lot I think the valver does sound better, both inside & outside:approve: The 172 when cained is very loud inside:dapprove: but tbh it doesn't sound that great:( - it does however sound nice from outside, as my dad has proved many a time.

I'm pretty sure you ask them to take a pic with a jug of custard on the roof of the car (or something like that any way) :eek:

I saw this car in Romford last week, parked up in the car park I somes times use for the gym, it had two asian lads in it who were trying to look cool in it. I did have a quiet laugh to myself at the car;) Not my thing tbh.

That one on the peach coloured scooby is just plain disturbing !!!:dead: Some very nice looking birds there, but some not so nice ones as well by the looks of things !

^ which one ?? as neither look to be a standard colour to me, the one on ebay has glitter in the paint :rolleyes: & the other one's just pink:dead: The only silly colurs they did were dyno rod orange (there were a few done in that colour) plus a few done in a solid orange - very rare.

As peperami said, its hardly the crime of the century ! If you picked the car up for 10k you'd still be quids in once you'd but it back to standard.

There are a few mk1's on 53 reg's, I know of a mars red one for sale a while ago that was a mk1 on a 53 reg. The mk2 must have come out late on the 53 reg (so just missed the 04 plate) As said 16k is well over priced for a mk1 (even if it is red) - they are asking about 3k too much for it...

Halfrauds sell them, I have a silver tyvec one it cost me £40 :cool: (it was cheap as they had 20% off at the time) I can't fault it at all:approve: They come in differnt sizes, so I guess you'd want a small one to fit your car (I got the medium sized one)

mcoppen it totally right - my renewal was a joke, I spoke the a bird about it after hours (i think it was a call centre:mad: ) and the cheeky b*tch wanted to charge me more than the renewal :rolleyes: !! I called up the next day during office hours, told them the quote I got on line gave them...

So what if its a mk1 ??:S I prefer the mk1 shape tbh as it the original one (I realise that both bodies are the same, I just prefer the mk1's) I'd still have a silver mk1 over that blue one though as I prefer the silver:approve:
