Mine just comes out of the passenger footwell, then sit the phone on the seat.

I did a speed test 10 secs later and it shows 52mb/s. So how do I find out what is failing?

I managed to change the details to the best range. All details and 'changeme' pw were okay. We are paying premium rate for a dial up connection.
