basically when my dad sets the clock on the sat nav screen it only says the right time for a couple of minutes, then it says the wrong time by 1/2 an hour.
when you start the car the clock says 1 oclock, after 5 minutes it changes to the correct time !
how do you make it stay right,

if you havent already stick a pin down the washer jet hole, this will prob clear the cr*p out of it .
i would have thought that the boots are the same, on a phase 2 the rear washer jets are behind the wiper, which is why you prob cant see them.
my phase 2 16v reg on 01/08/94 does not have an air bag :)
my mates 16v also on an m reg and sport blue like my car, does have one,
but ive got leather and he hasnt !
with this in mind, how much (roughly) to get my bonnet sprayed, it looks like its been shot at there are that many stone ships !

i too tried to get one of my 16v, cos i think it would look cool, but the closest i could get was a williams, so i bought that (i know its not a 16v !!)
ebay have some some times, i got a 1/43 by universal hobbies, (same standard as minchamps)
try n get compensation out of them as they are well out of order,
if not they must have broken some act/law some where, you could try and get them on that (dunno what tho but its worth ago)
as above how easy is it to remove the plastic section where the hazard lights/door lock switch is on a mk 2 172
reason i ask is that it used to have the phone kit fitted to it, but its been taken out, and the corner of the plastic is missing and it looks wrong, does it just unclip, or do you...

i was in the grandstand with my old man, we went in his red 172...
dunno if this helps but a 172 my dad looked at had a sub+amp in it, the bloke said that the amp was wired to the rear speakers.
obvoiusly i dunno if its true tho but he seemed to know what he was on about !

try places like HIC if elephant are no good, they normally come out quite good
I would ask over 3500 for it,
check the autotrader and for sale papers etc, for a rough price to ask for it if your still not sure, apart from it being mint its got leather too, so thats an extra 3- 400 quid i guess.
