I'm hoping to unlock the cash for ITB's to go with the 438's later this year, but I suspect someone else will have put the two together before then. I'll post results when I do get the trumpets on mine though. You'll see mine with just the cams at Llandow mate.
I wouldn't mind having a look at...
Hello chap, I do know some of the figures before;
Tank - had an RS2 on it before and was running 187bhp & 154 lb ft, the RS2 came out and he put 438's and the k-tec induction kit in, making 203bhp & 166 lb ft. Thread here mate...
Strange creatures indeed mate, look at Tanks - lol!
Mine is at K-Tec at the moment, replacement gearbox with a Gripper Diff going in it. Timing couldn't be worse from a cost perspective as I've just proposed to the other half and raiding my savings for the car has not gone down well, as that...
To confirm a few things on the 438's (and reinforce what Danny has said). My car is a 172 with PAS, AC, exhaust and the prototype K-Tec induction kit;
Idle - not a problem, very smooth, almost the same as standard. I use the car as a daily and it's perfectly happy sat in the commute...
Incy-Spider, I have found the cams have given a huge improvement, but instead of going off topic - check out these threads for more info / RR graphs etc;

I am one of these 'someone's. tank is the other one. We had 438's fitted, with cams but without induction it ran 186bhp, with k-Tec induction prototype and mapping (with the cams) again to suit, it ran 197 bhp. Tanks ran 203 bhp.
Many chuckles, it seems each thread on CS at the moment can't help but deliver. Rear strut bracing is only effective if it is welded (like Craigus photo above) onto the actual shell, I.e the part of the car flexing under increased stress.
Cracks me up when people appear out of nowhere arguing...
Some major fail occuring in this thread. Its embarrassing.
Members post how 'great' they are at driving, whilst in the same breath rubbishing their 'skills' by arguing the improvement a mod well known for adding zero benefit brings.
I can understand why people may want them in for how they...
Ripping off the E.England and SE lot, I'm starting a 'Who, Where & What' for us South Central inhabitants. Hopefully help put members names to cars;
Who: Cub 172 (Oli)
Where: Reading
What: Modded Mk2 Flamer
I will come to this if the Flamer is back from having a new box and Gripper Limited Slip Diff put in....I also want to see yours Terry, after you have joined me in being 'cammed up'.
Just seen Tim's post, if we make it the week after it works better for me as I'm more likely to have my car back!
FLOL - the best part for me were the pictures with loads of random red arrows pointing at the exhaust. He is selling an exhaust, yet still needs to put red arrows on pointing out what it is/where it is located.

Sorry to hear this Chippen mate, but a well sorted MX-5 will drive very well. You planning on charging the MX?
Be interested to know who the flamer is going to, see who is joining the club.
As others have said;
Cams (either 438 or BTM's GT ones) induction, exhaust. I went for the 438's from K-Tec and I rate them a lot. I am a little concerned why you don't want the mods to be overly 'visible' as if it is to not declare them on insurance, then it is the last piece of advice i'll be...
Errmmm, if its going to be a 'car park' fest, my attendance is unlikely. I thought a bit of looking around the cars, then some food / a sherbet would be the order of the evening....
Indeedy Tony! Problem is, I will need some tuition before I get anywhere near troubling the diff I'd imagine. We all have to start somewhere though. Only put the gripper in due to the last OEM one failing.
But, hopefully some starter tuition from you at Llandow, then a few more track days this...
When I had the 911 I used ChipsAway in Reading mate. They are franchised, so it depends who runs them as to whether they are good or not. Steve at ChipsAway Reading is excellent, does all of the Aston / Jag / lambo work for Lancaster Reading. He is just up the road from them near the Madejski...
