A couple of paint splashes and runs and I take it you kept tyres on, but it looks miles better! I'd say a decent job if it's your first attempt
How long did it take you? I really should do mine myself but I don't think I have the patience
So to conclude the thread, as it now looks like I'm talking to myself with 3 posts in a row...Silvervisions fitted front and rear, look much better imo and appear silver once fitted in the car and not in direct sunlight like the first pic.
Car already has nightbreakers by the looks of it (oops)...
In preparation for my new bulbs, I gave my lights a quick 2nd go over with 3000grit and polish as I wasn't happy with my work last time round. Looking better now but they're never going to be perfect.
Before...but after my half arsed first attempt a few weeks ago, although the picture really...
Ordered headlights, sidelights, silver visions x4, stubby aerial, mist washer jets and new rear number light unit. Looking forward to getting it all fitted!
Thanks, the lens cover on mine is very yellow and faded. What bulb type do I need to go for?
I'm just about to order a set along with some other items for £13...
Forgot to add... Would this contribute to the car tramlining quite badly, more noticeably under acceleration? It's definitely not torque steer but is very unnerving when pressing on down country lanes for example
I haven't. Only had the car 6 weeks. Coilovers are a few years old as far as I'm aware.
To be honest I didn't realise they were separate to the actual suspension unit.
It occurs over uneven roads and is beginning to annoy me. A local garage diagnosed it as play in the top mounts, they showed me this when holding the top and bottom of the front wheels and shaking.
It's on Bilstein B14 suspension. Can anyone advise on my next steps to fix this...
Thanks for the reply and it's good to know about the speakers.
Don't think I'll bother with a sub at this stage, although if I decided to go the underseat route at a later date does it need a power supply direct from the battery or is it just fed off the HU?
I do like that HU although I'm not...
I know there is a lot of info out there on this but much of it is a couple of years old or more.
I'm considering a head unit this month (amongst other things!) and have been eyeing up the Alpine range based on recommendations from here.
How much do I need to spend to have one that is...
I am swaying towards giving silver a try.
Still considering buying another set of wheels to be honest though...every time I see a Cup on Turinis I love it, but then again it would look just like everybody elses.
