I had the same issue with the exhaust fitting kit purchased for my 172 cup; the fitting kit was fine, but the conical seal was too big. I ended up fitting my old seal with some exhaust paste.
I messaged the company who supplied the kit to see what happened, and they now want me to measure the...
@bowen86 excellent stuff such a lovely Cup.
Nissan do the exact same CTS as the Renault part. It retails just under £25 inc vat if you get any problems with the Febi
Morning guys,
The evening session at Snetterton was very good, even after the five or so red flags, an EP3 Type R with its front tow eye glued on .
Without a cloud in the sky, this definitely made up for a lot of waiting around.
Having done Cadwell previously with just lowering...
This was mine, the missus was using the Cup that day and stopped off at Budgens.
Pretty sure i saw your RB 182 last year going up the road to Raunds from Chelveston
2025 update
With all the house work going on tail end of 2024 the Clio was put aside for a while.
Since September I have fitted the cambelt kit, water pump aux belt all genuine.
-Oil service
-Spacers back on the front
-Brake fluid change
The water pump was fun to remove there really isn't...
Small updates on the Cup.
Fitted rear braided brake lines as the originals were past their best.
Some fresh brake fluid and she's back on the road stopping properly.
Jobs for this month:
Cambelt kit + pump
Rear wheel bearings
Paint bonnet
Polish headlights
Also, something I have...
Hey everyone,
Update on the Cup.
A track day at Cadwell started off a very foggy morning but cleared up with the whole day being sunny. The Clio was excellent not missing a beat apart from a squeaky clutch cable when hot.
Car Spec on the day,
-Nankang NS-2r Tires
-Pbs Front Pads + Brembo HC...
A few updates on the Cup,
Managed to grab a RS Sabelt steering wheel and sell the RS performance one pretty quickly, definitely feels nicer to grip, I will give the interior a good detail soon as this great weather improves.
Even with the two SRS resistors fitted the SERV/Air bag light...
Sorted the brakes over the weekend,
Fitted both front reman caliper carriers & slider pins kit. Had great fun with the disc retaining screws, all four extremely tight.
One of the 4 screw's this being the worst, the other 3 came off with tones of persuasion.

Il be honest, I wanted to see how it felt/handled with and without front spacers.
On Monday I had a check round the front brakes, a nice little surprise was awaiting me, both front lower Carrier sliders seized solid (one snapped).
So no test drive :(, I have a new pair of carriers freshly...

Have a loud buzzing noise coming from what sounds like the exhaust on my 172 CUP.
First thought was checking all the heatshields ,these are all solid no rattles from what I can tell. Next thing to check is the baffles on the exhaust.
Has anyone else had this? Its only on de-acceleration from...
Afternoon everyone,
Had my 172 cup a little while now, first thing I noticed was how shoddy the brakes are.
There is good pedal feel, but no real grab. I have pressure bled the system, fluid is also flowing to the rear calipers, brake compensator is free.
I was wondering how common these are...
Cheers guys,
I had this trouble with my old Cupra k1, the badges were a nightmare to get hold of.
Will fit the stickers for now...
There is a spare OEM badge in my tool box, but this isn't going on until I can find a way of making them stay put.
Hey everyone,
Has anybody purchased the cup 172 sticker's off ebay? I was after a few owners images showing them on here if possible?
Paying £30+ for genuine ones to only come off is getting expensive haha.
When changing gear the gear stick sqeeks and feels like it needs greasing but have tryed that already , but it still sqeeks when changing gear
