I think my driveshaft seal is leaking mate, looked under it today as it's been parked in the w/shop for a week, it's dripping from all round the side of the box onto the linkages, there's just no way it can only leak from the selector seal and drip off the parts it's leaking from!
Cheers guys, if anyone is game to try one I can tailor to suit any arrangement and also add space for having the horn in there too.
Inspiration came from the layout of a Clio cup steering wheel, I drew this up and it suits the wheel very well
Little work in progress of brackets I will be trying out, heres the first prototype.
More to come, please keep an eye out and if interested let me know :)
Slipped on the crank mate... Not the end of the world but I didnt want to spend too much on engine bits!
It leaks a bit still mate yea.. Im just topping up until I get a nice gbox
It's been an up and down week of my Clio ownership.
Firstly after a clean and polish, this happened..
Disaster.. Although with the fabia splitter, it was at least looking better
Coilovers arrived.. They look amazing. Glad I went for bilsteins, Roxie got a set for her 106 too :)...
Would you be able to match the inlet too for a little extra? I should be able to send everything to you when my valves arrive from Germany. Excited as I've now seen your good work!
Id like to do that for the car but it's really just an A>B and a bit if track use. I built a forged engine for my last car, I don't really want to head down that road with this car. Matched inlet would be the extent of it, its a late 172 with an rs manifold which is nice.
When I'm back friday I...
Some photos .. Not the worst bent valve ive seen by any means, but never had any experience with these engines being an ex pug man.
So irritating that it has happened. Theres a first for everything!
Kinda loathed to spend more than 600 for the whole rebuild, I bought the car for 1200 and have already spent in excess of 1200 on general maintenance and new b14s/semi slicks.. Plan od having a cheap track hack going quickly out the window..
Hi guys,
Some help needed,
Long story short my lower belt cover was cracked and debris fell into the crank pulley area and caused the belt to jump or the pulley to slip.
I give 4 of the inlet valves a bit of a bend and I am replacing them all for supertechs i sourced for £260 delivered.(oem...
Will be a few Clio's and other small hot hatches getting together for this, hope a few more Clio's can make it!
£189 100dB Full day :)

So, eventually got my NS2Rs on and I really like how it is looking, I need to back the camber off though, it's a bit extreme..
It will all be sorted after fitting these :), just ordered b14's.
Yea I changed it on axle stands bud.
Usual socket set
Circlip pliers
Side cutters (snips)
I didn't change the bush seal bud as I wasnt expecting it to be sealed off the way it was, it should be separate from thw box oil but in fact it isnt! I used sealant but need to buy a new bush to he honest...
I would put money on it that it was that crappy plastic bush. I won't be at all surprised if it still seaps or something. I just wanted to have a go at it, owned it for 2 weeks and got very pissed off with the drips!!
I only know it by the generic jc5 dave sorry, it seems to fit anything from a renault 11 to a scenic!! The box oil does drain near the end when you undo the 16mm nut beside the selector seal. Its to fit a retainer as per the videos.
Its worth changing it if it's been leaking indefinitely, my...
Okay. Fitted the TND fn10 kit from Mapco. It's easy to fit, but the gators etc on the selector lever are easy to tear so bear it in mind. I have to replace 1.
I followed the instructions as per the videos online
