Just finished a track day, all was well till about 1/4 from home and metal grating sound from front end (sounded more drivers side) no noise under acceleration or braking, only freewheeling.
My first guess was drive shaft, not had chance to look under yet but will hopefully get time.
does that...
Ha right i best explain at this point, ive heard of fat32 before but me and anything to do with modern tech dont get along!
Can you put that in layman's terms if possible? lol
I have an after market Pioneer head unit in my Clio (model DEH-4500bt)
I know it seems like a daft question but what type of USB stick will it take? I recently tried a sandisk usb (the type that was an exposed usb, not casing around it) and it would not accept it but yet it accepts my 6 year...
Still yet to see one of these, infact i only think ive seen about 5 new Clio's in total.
There was a quote from Evo magazine (hot hatch special) where they said Renault are rethinking putting a manual box in..isnt that a bit late?! I'll see if i can dig it out
I saw what possibly could be you Friday going past the school (not from Guisborough not sure of the name!) Im the 172 Cup, first time i saw you was turning onto Rectory Lane..ha im that much in love with LY's i remember!

I think mines does amazing on fuel considering i spend 99% of my time overtaking every man and his dog coming to the seaside for their jolly holidays.

I know this isn't strictly clio related but it's going on my Clio
sent away retention form for private reg on the 2nd of this month but got my tax reminder a few days later (obviously still with the original reg) what do I do?
I never bother taxing till the last day of the month but if my new...
I've had an iphone for just over 2 years now and have been a slave to music podcasts, I literally don't listen to anything else (mainly because their free and very good selection of music) do Andriod do the same thing? Although my upgrade is not for a while I want to break free of Apple but I...
Changed gearbox oil, only changed 20k ago but I had suspicions it was the wrong grade as it was very notchy. Smooth as silk now :)
smallest jobs always make the big difference
Ive noticed a few daft prices but then if your quick enough (which most of time im not) there are some bargains. Im after a steering wheel in order to send mine off to snappy, some are been thrown away at £15 (which i always seem to miss  ) then there are some that have a grand price tag of...
Im not sure how easy it is to clock the Clio's but thats a lot of wear and tear for a 70k car, mines done 91k and look perfect compared to that (seat wear, steering wheel wear ect) to me always big give aways to an apparent 'low miles car'
The engine light flashing and misfire code sounds like...
Ha i love the Ignis Sport, I was very close to buying one but it was Yellow and that was a bit too much for me lol Great little things though, how much does yours do to the gallon? Mate had one and said he only managed 25 average. Id still have one given the chance..i need something with room...
To be brutally honest, up until buying one, i knew what a Renault sport was buy i never really liked them, purely because the only person i knew with one (standard 172) was an utter **** and his nan drove quicker, now i own one i think 'what was he doing wrong? There bloody awesome!'
I took a...
Yes to like minded car people it's a great convo starter but to the rest of the population it's an exhausting exercise having to explain why apparently I'm into cars but yet I drive something completely unsuspecting
I don't know it just feels I'm having to justify my car lol I don't to have to...
Someone at work asked for a lift one day to the bus station, they didt drive so I just said its that's blue one there, I no longer had to explain why it's not just a Clio lol
tbh about 90% of people who own Porsches are just confessing 'I have more money then interest or talent' get the odd real...
To be honest it was completely worse when i had the Skoda, nothing i said in its defence justified it been an ok car.
He wasnt into his cars, just unfortunately he had a nice car and he thought his automatically made him a petrol head..still got the job though :)
Went for a job interview today (I do work already, not a bum, honest!) the interviewer asked what hobbies i had, to which i mentioned cars, he claimed to have a Porsche Cayman and asked me what i had, replied a Renault Clio. He gave me a funny look as if to say 'is that it?' so i explained it...
Granted true, most things are cheap enough, ive just done rear brake pads, disc's and bearings for just shy of £60 but its just unexpected sting. It wont be long and ill be needing a new lot of injectors, their dirt cheap compared to some cars but when time by 4 its not pocket money.
Its not so much the repairing its the cost involved and time to do it.
When mine started misfiring (making schoolboy error) the last thing on the repair list sorted it :/
Yeah ive seen that one, cheers :)
Dont suppose you know who does the steering wheel re-trims on here do you? Im obviously new and someone told me there was someone on here
