    Looking at getting these lenses!

    Another thing I should have mentioned, using the 300mm (for motorsport) on a crop sensor was great, as you could fill the frame properly on pretty much any circuit, and not have to crop the sh*t out of it to get a well framed picture. Now, when I came to use that on a FF, it was like I didn't...

    Looking at getting these lenses!

    Its completely different doing from a 1.6 crop to FF. I used to have a 40D also, but all the lenses were irrelevant as everything changes so much with the focal length difference. My most used lenses are 28mm f1.8, 100mm f2 and 300mm f4L on my 5Dii, and they are all great with it being FF. I've...

    449 Mk1 Valver

    Williams fitment coilovers with the bolt holes opened out 1mm to use the 172 hub/strut bolts is what you need. 172 shocks were too tall when I tried in 2008

    Ph1 172 -> mk1 conversion 1 fuel line!??!?!?!

    Il have a look later, im sure I got a couple of pics. I had issues with fuel surge on track round certain corners (thats all it was used for), so I went for a 'newer' pump, one from a 172 ph1. The physical pipes fit, but you'l have to solder the wires like the Mk1 is, its all obvious when you've...

    Ph1 172 -> mk1 conversion 1 fuel line!??!?!?!

    You have the latter 172 Ph1 fuel rail. As above you ideally need to modify the valver pump housing and fit a 172 pump with a reg on it (so you can use single line). 172 pump housing does not fit in valver tank, you have to take the pump away from the housing and put it in the valver housing...

    Hopefully, its not 'easy', it just gets easier when you've done it so many times lol

    Bren's Sunflower 172 - Engine Rebuild

    Unfortunately all earth straps are new, starter motor mounting faces are clean, battery is brand new. Just typical Renault quality, I went through 6-7 in about 15 trackdays with them not being able to cope with the heat, its only a 10 minute job to change through the top.

    Yeah, plenty of ways of doing it. All depends on type of motor, gearset, rail etc. Worm drive on a DC motor are the most powerful and can hold a LOT of weight, as they cant freewheel backwards if they loose power. I only used a belt to give precise accurate movement with the stepper - can run it...

    Cool. I nearly didnt bother with Arduino, could have just created a simple PCB and controlled the driver/shutter from USB to a laptop and write the software there, but saves lugging it around. Plus the Arduinos are dirt cheap and have thousands of libraries ready to use!

    Yeah ML. Its very good, especially for video focusing and every other function it adds! Sorry only just seen the replies. I'm running an Arduino UNO R3, with a 16x2 LCD and 6 push buttons (L,R,U,D,Select,Reset) Using a 2A Stepper Motor Driver with 1/16th Microstepping support (200step motor...

    Yup, same IGUS rail on that one too. Hes using a servo instead mind. I went for a stepper so I could microstep it with a driver and get 3200 steps to a single revolution

    Indeed... this cost less than 1/5th of the price mentioned, took a few hours to cut/drill/bolt things together. I'm using it for both video/timelapse, settings via a small LCD. All runs from a 12v battery. The below is just doing video, timelapse does move-shoot-move to whatever the user...

    Its been off for a while - the only useful thing was the part numbers, prices were from years ago (not had a clio for 2 years). I can put it back up sometime if part numbers are of any use.

    Canon & 50Mm

    Just got rid of my 40D for a 5DMk2. Used lots on the 40D in the past 4 years, 300 f2.8s, 70-200 f2.8s etc. Using 50mm 1.8 on the 5D at the moment, its nice. Picked it up for £70. Much prefer full frame now, although from a budget point of view its not good! The 100mm f2 and 28mm f1.8 are...

    Mk1 Clio Hybrid 172

    You'l need the right length belt also. There are other ways of doing it, like using Mk1/Volvo brackets with the right alternator (usually a lot cheaper than cup brackets).. There is quite a bit on here about those
