Was going to say may aswell buy the oil switch for the price it is, as it will probably be that. I have a mechanical gauge and line somewhere but its not M14 like the oil pressure switch so would need an adaptor, which would probably cost more than the new sensor
It is possible to get the sump out with the engine and sub frame still in position... done it on a 182 before and removed the oil pump...
Id be saying oil pressure switch, quite common that this problem gets posted on here. Wouldnt harm to get the pressure tested for piece of mind though..
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
2009 probably mainly sh*te tyres and crap setup on the day - 2010 ended up being better with adjustable rear dampers, playing with tyre pressures more, different tyres etc...
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Well....... I went to start the Clio last night after it being sat since the 31st October. Started fine thankfully :)
Oh and another one I've only just got round to uploading... Not so many clips from 2010, but a good reminder of the fun had in 2009 :boring:

Depends how much you want to spend I guess. Speaking from experience, more expensive does certainly mean better quality imo, both in image quality and build. L Series lenses are great if you want to pay the price, and hold...
The ABS stamp is probably the type of plastic tbh, quite common for plastic housings to have it stamped on, my dads company makes similar and they stamp the type of plastic onto it... does it have any relays on the other side?
Did you remove it from under the glovebox area? Looks very similar...
Re: Project 172 Trophy Red Megane 225 Powered Heavy Track Car
Yeah, its probably possible to use one from another car. As long as you can mount it to the pedal box you should be OK (and the pedal fitment the same)..
Only thing you have to be wary of is the rod that comes out the other side of...
Re: Project 172 Trophy Red Megane 225 Powered Heavy Track Car
100% color code the lot, the matt unpainted plastics on Ph1s look wierd on anything other than silver..
Il check for that servo tomorrow, but it might mean you need to make a few other changes also. The Mk1 servo rod is shorter and...
Mine has been fine, the gasket is from the same car too. Had the same one on for over 12 months even after removing the engine 3 times, every time I took the gasket off it had worn perfectly centrally so didn't bother changing it. I paid £5-6 for the whole lot from my local factors.
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Depends how much in a rush you are - the clio is 20 miles away, and my sunroof glass is 1 mile away with all my other parts. Although, after destroying the sump on the Beemer I haven't been down there lol. I'm going tomorrow afternoon to sort some other bits...
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Mines 3mm - As for size, im not sure to be honest. Id say you'd want it a meter wide and half a meter deep to have plenty of excess, depends what sizes you can get hold of it in though. Most places I looked at locally had large minimum orders... I ended up...
Nah, hit it elsewhere. I wasn't even drifting ironically, was going in a straight line and saw a kerb, hit the brakes, locked up and slid up onto it, smashing most of it off completely... grim.
