Yeah, its the only time it will really go sideways with its puny engine, lol.
Its getting worse round here, hard frost for the past two days with none of it melting - its gone past being like glass. Thing is.... the back end comes out driving normally, I really do wonder if some old woman is...
The snow has been again, leaving a nice compacted layer of ice and some soft stuff on top, perfect for a bit of fun...
Although it needs to snow again now, the surface has turned into glass :dapprove:
Interesting that someone went to the effort of fitting an electric pedal and throttle... No doubt the whole 172 loom is behind the dash too with the UCH lol.
The side impact bars in the doors are very heavy, and on both sides. Although, id only recommend cutting them out if you put your cage upto the front. More weight could be removed by - removing rear wiper mech/motor, cutting out the bootlid skin, removing sunroof glass and replacing with...
All 172 Ph1s, All 172 Ph2 Cups and (some) regular 172 Ph2's ran speedo sensors in the back of the box, which drive the dash..
Some regular Ph2 172's, and all 182's use the ABS
Bloooors and Jesus's 172's had the sensor from the back of the box to name a few...
To the OP - the sensor can be...
We drove through 3 other, non UK, countries in Europe last winter in a 172 with the Xenons on all the time, even got stopped by the police and never had an issue, or got flashed etc. IMO they are fine without.
It looks quite a bit closer on the video than it actually is, but I sometimes do get close to the people I know, as I can trust what they drive like/do, unlike a lot of people on track days who might randomly brake etc!
Lol!
Should be for sure - hopefully I wont have any worries about...
Cheers
Only done 5 trackdays, Rockingham, Cadwell, Mallory, Oulton and Anglesey. Would have liked to do more but just didnt have enough time!
Yeah, get yours sorted lol.
Expensive hobby, but a lot of fun!
Yup, just the 5..
Yeah, thought I'd put a clip of it in there. Proper random 12'...
After changing a lot on the car from 2009 and having quite a number of problems earlier this year, resulting in only being able to use the car late on, I still managed to have a good few days out of it. Only managed to destroy and a clutch and have one major off this year, but its all good fun...
172bhp 165lb/ft... 830kg... so around 210bhp/tonne. Never done a 1/4 in it (yet) but I'd hope for high 13s and around a 100mph terminal with decent tyres on a good day
Heh, there isn't much else left to save any weight with. Ive given up trying to remove anymore thats why it was painted after I finished the cage, its fun enough as is :)
Finished the LPG install the other day, done around 300-400 miles on it now but all seems fine. Needs a slight tune I think, but will be getting that sorted soon. Made a new filler pipe mounted from the towbar instead of having to drill the bodywork too, il put some details up about it (and the...
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Bad times, lucky I didnt need to use it. Il never go near Flux ever again, absolutely w*nk customer service and terms with regards to cancellations and the like.
Indeed a god did create them lol - glad with how they turned out, they make the car/cage...
