182 Engine Shuts off while driving. Electrical Issue?

Odd, never seen that before 😅

    Gripper Differentials.

Aye, power understeer is a real thing. I've experienced it in the passenger seat of a few cars.

    Gripper Differentials.

True It'll kill you or save you 😂

    Gripper Differentials.

Only downside to a Gripper is that the front wheels and the car for that matter are going where you point it 😂 If they're pointing in the wrong direction during a slide and you boot it, you're going that way. Soon learn how to drive with one.

182 Engine Shuts off while driving. Electrical Issue?

Have you got the earth strap on the gearbox?

182 Engine Shuts off while driving. Electrical Issue?

Take the earth strap off and clean the ends and the area it bolts to. To confirm it's an earth issue, run a jump lead from battery negative to the engine block (engine lifting eye is a good one).

182 Engine Shuts off while driving. Electrical Issue?

Swap it for a 6E. Where is all the water coming from, you seem to have had it in everything so far 😂 I believe the plug gaps are 1mm, hence the in the name PFR6E-10 (1.0mm)

182 Engine Shuts off while driving. Electrical Issue?

Swap injector 1 with another. That will tell you if it's the injector at fault or a wiring issue. Most likely just a dodgy injector though.

Hardware to install Jon Foz Subframes

Yeah 8.8 is sound but if you can get higher then may as well.

Hardware to install Jon Foz Subframes

High tensile M8 bolts 10.9 or 12.9 grade around 40mm long to bolt the frames to the car. I used 25mm long 12.9 grade M8 cap head bolts to attach the side mounts to the frames. You could use M10 if you opened the holes up.

    Likely to be the starter?

A squirt of ACF-50 or XCP Rustblocker will stop them from getting corroded again.

    Slight knocking noise

Mounts are the likely culprit. Dogbone mount is the easiest to check/rule out.

    Likely to be the starter?

Be fine mate. The clip was broken on my 182 the whole time I had it and never rattled or came off. Relays was worth a try but definitely some sort of heat related issue on yours.

    Windscreen seals.

The ones into the wing? They always break 😂
  15. Mr Trailer Man

    Windscreen seals.

Yeah not sure why it's lifted up that much like that, bit of tape like you say will sort it.
  16. Mr Trailer Man

    Windscreen seals.

    Yeah more like it.
  17. Mr Trailer Man

    Windscreen seals.

That's what I thought, like they don't look long enough or at least sat too high. They need to extend down under the scuttle more.

    ❤️ ClioSport Festival 2025 @ Anglesey Circuit ❤️

Well there's the problem, if it had two, it would have one spare.
  19. Mr Trailer Man

    Windscreen seals.

    Oh 😅 They look wider.

They will be mate because the circuit will need reserving.

    Windscreen seals.

Haven't got a Clio to check anymore 😅 The seals definitely look a lot chunkier than oem.

    Windscreen seals.

Scuttle panel trim sits on top from memory. You might be able to just lift the corners over.

    The new tool thread

That's why i got the 2T version. I had the SGS 3T and that was 45kg. The 2T Halfords is 34kg and it makes a huge difference 😅

182 Titanium Yorkshire B Road Project

Yeah if it's held the torque 25-30Nm, then it should be ok.

    The new tool thread

They're a decent jack and the coated wheels do help a lot with the noise.

    Likely to be the starter?

I had the odd non start issue on my old 182. Turned out to be the starter relay in the fuse box. (G) On diagram. When it does it again, swap G relay with E and see if that does anything.
