Or try disconnecting the negative for 10 minutes, when you reconnect, turn the ignition on but don't start it. It should say on the dash "New battery installed yes/no".
Use the stalk controls to select yes and hold the button in.

Two sets of teeth is right, the ones at the back are for the starter and the front set is for the trigger pattern on the crankshaft sensor.
Yeah that's cheap for a digi with angle.
I have the Halfords 300 wrench which is the normal clicky and that's over £100.
Can sometimes find the Snap On ones on ebay for around £300 used.
I had the genuine RS one from a MK3 cup racer fitted on mine, with some slight modification.
No one was making them for MK2 at the time.
Definitely worth doing I'd say, you never know if it'll save the engine one day.
