    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

From what i have seen on DW it works almost as good as IronX, Which for me personally is still the best fall out remover. Just have to wait and see. Im dreading using it after running Carbotech pads all year haha! This is from last year just using Pagid RS29's DSC_1043 by Jamie_Atkinson, on...

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

This little lot turned up today, after something that is quick and easy to use but still protects and looks decent hence the wetcoat. Not tried Korrosol yet as I have always stuck with IronX but this was less for twice the amount. Hoping this weather f***s off in the next few days, want to at...

    Racing slicks

Beware, Some TDO's don't allow slicks without a cage, I certainly wouldn't You can't compare AD08R's to A048's, One is a high performance road tyre, The other is a proper R rated track tyre. DZ03's for outright grip, Best R rated tyre that i have used. Need to try some PSC2's though 888's are...

    Dirtiest car competition - 2014

K-tec have listed it, Almost 2k for a catback with the same Diameter as the OEM system. Custom 3" Ti system can be had for less, Not that i would ever spend that much on something that offers little gains, The cat/downpipe is the restriction on them

    Dirtiest car competition - 2014

White is boring on them imo. RS Meganes should always be a bright colour, if I didn't get one in Yellow, capsicum was my next choice. Saying that, they look lovely in silver

    Michelin pilot sport 3

Just going to have to agree to disagree then. 250bhp? Try over 300bhp and 350lbs-ft

    Michelin pilot sport 3

Fact? Slower on track and less grip on the road on our Meganes, Can send you some datalogs if you want to look at them? Anyway, I'm out. You can carry on but in my own experience they are worse than the PS2's they supposedly replaced. Ill stick to my PSS's for road use

    Michelin pilot sport 3

Yes of course it is. Yawn. Im going on my personal experience as well as the feedback from friends who have actually used them, Not because they read it on the internet. Out of all the many types of tyres i have ran on the Megane they were some of the worst, Certainly for feel

    Michelin pilot sport 3

Yes because on the Megane anyway, they don't grip as well and feel worse. Common theme on any of the Megane boards

    wheel spin

Why would a slipping clutch give you wheel spin?
  12. -Jamie-

    Michelin pilot sport 3

It's a surprise seeing so many people raving about the PS3's on here. I put them on the Megane after the OEM PS2's had died and hated them, Step back from the PS2 they replaced and they were soon binned for something else. Common thing with RS Megane's. Maybe they just work better on a...

    wheel spin

Well they are certainly not a premium tyre

Polish seller on eBay has them. Or Mark Black Also sounds like "your mechanic" doesn't have a clue, Take it to a proper RS specialist.

Just Sport yellow (?) Im afraid :( They do look good when detailed properly ;) Its badly needing it. 2 years of trackdays have taken their toll and i have lost interest in keeping it as clean as it should be LOL!

    JCC's FRS

Nice, Im not a massive FRS fan but i do appreciate a well looked after and sensible modified one. Gally, You want to clean my Megane LOL?

    Ball joint help.

FYI, the RS250 is similar priced, £400 odd for parts each side, Plus labour. I spent £250 on the ball joints and probably that again on labour at SWR, Much cheaper and the replacement joints are a better spec. Thats for both upper and lower btw.

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

I paid 35 quid on DW, Cancoat is unopened but the Prep and Wetcoat have about 85% left, Still cheap mind you. Not sure if i will bother to use Cancoat, Maybe sell it on or keep it for the summer, Wetcoat looks ideal though for what i want

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

Ive just bought: Gyeon Wetcoat, CanCoat and Prep Korrosol Lost interest in detailing, so wanted some products that were quick and easy to use but still had longevity and great results

    Scottish Specialists, share your recommendations

Chizfab are good, Kyles Fab skills are brilliant. If i go down to cage route for the Megane it will be going up there to be done
