ok....today i tried a lambda from a car that was all good, with a different map sensor and different coolant temp sensor...left battery off for a bit to reset ECU, then went out........no change at all....still really boggy at high revs, and stinks of fuel :(
i tried the valver ECU today, ran pretty much the same, smelt more of fuel though....god knows
i got the coolant temp sensor and map from the other block, but not tried them or the lambada sensor yet....trying to figure out the overheating issue first as its getting worse!
it was the intials of the first owner, but its not registered as a private plate.....she bought it new, so may have requested it? i dont know.......lol
First time id cleaned the Mk1 since i got it at the start of September the other day, clayed it too, then it rained, and ruined all the hard work :(
Decided to go and get some pics as I have none of the car iteself, and I was bored with stuff going wrong with it!
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
yeah....im running 172 shafts but i think the tripod thing on my valver one is the same, well it has to be i guess to fit in the box
anyway....the noise went when i had it tracked/aligned properly. Well, its still there from time to time, but its very very quiet and can...
cool
ive just been back to the valver engine to get some parts off it to test...
map sensor....coolant temp sensor....also got a spare lamba sensor....will see what happens shortly
yeah the blue ones....the bottom hole is wayyy larger than the locator on the rear beam, so the spring would just move around? thats why you have the platform, as its the same size as the bottom of the spring....
i rekon the shocks might bottom out, as soon as you lower it off the jack, lol
i paid 700 for mine, 100% standard, was on 140k, but i was planning to swap engine anyway.
its 1996, 1 lady owner from new until 6 months ago, then her cousin had it. Full service history upto 139k, every stamp in the book....every reciept in the folder.
I hpi'd it, and it was clear. But as i...
the future plan is heavy engine modification......so standalone is eventually going to be considered
thought it was on the sunday....doh!
ah well god knows then.....could be anything, the amount of dodgy stuff ive found on this block as ive been going along is unreal, to have been built by a...
had a problem with the lambada in the past, then it settled down once it had been cleaned (was told to try cleaning, not sure if you're meant to?)
where is the coolant temp sensor?
i must have explained what i was thinking pretty bad lol
nah, the better performance is willy/megane bottom end + willy/megane head** OR straight standard williams lump
a common way alot of people do it is willy/megane bottom end + 16v head, but performance is worse due to the valves being...
yeah, i thought about that, and yeah it was in the project thread
it could be a partially both being messed up, but after opening the ECU is looks like its never been touched, 100% boggo williams ecu, so it wouldnt be running right anyway
better performance yes, harder to source williams engine with average miles nowadays, and they are more expensive...
most common hybrid engine setup people are running over on williamsclio/clio16valver is meggy b/e and valver head, its similar performance, williams slightly better
the problem...
heh :approve:
