Basically just put some 17" OZ f1 cups on my ph1 172 and as predicted its abit of a tractor. I want to put eibach sportlines on but the problem is the rear wheels already rub the rear bumper with 1 person in the back, and constantly with 2 or more
Now im sure this is because it rolls...
I think the lad means during acceleration but well before he gets to the limiter. Surely noone is that stupid to ask if it was happening whilst bouncing off the limmiter!
What the title says, seen a ph2 ktec cat back stainless exhasut system for sale i want but its from a ph2. Is there any difference between a ph1 and ph2 stainless system as i have a ph1.
Cheers

I'd say the 172 would have the edge, but depends on how well that red top is running.
Handling wise, well we all know corsa's just cant go round corners, at least the 172 is designed to take that much power. All the converted corsa's ive seen just seem to rip them selves to pieces - wether or...
Edde now were talking, what charger would i want instead and why not the mini one (is it because it was designed for a 1.6?) What sort of pricer would i be looking? as the mini ones can be picked up for a few hundered off ebay.So if i ran say 220bhp i could get away with leaving the stock fuel...
So without upgrading any internals how much is this likely to cost, as i really cant see £10k in it as someone already mentioned.....surely plumbing it in cant cost THAT much, i mean the pipe work and a few custom mounts for the charger? although i'd assume it would need mapping?i wouldnt want...
i'd be doing it on the cheap, just wondering how much more i'd need other than the supercharger unit itself (in terms of plumming ect)
obviously you'd need a certain amount of customisation in terms of mounting it ect.
Sam
ben P - what sort of money are you talking to do such a conversion do you think on top of the Supercharger itself? and what sort of power gains? I wouldnt be doing TB's though....
Sam
Just having a browse round on ebay and noticed you can pick up bmw mini superchargers for not as much as you'd think.....Just got me wondering if you could supercharge a 172 with one or infact if anyone had already done it? and what sort of power increase they gained?
Cheers

thats what ive got but they look abit lost. Im thinking if im going to change for a bigger a wheel i may as well go 17" with a lower profile tyre. just got to be careful of those pot holes!
Sam
Got a black PH1 and am looking to change the wheels. Im thinking about oz f1 cups in 16" or turini's in 16"/17", but other than that i dont know. Not a fan of oz leggra's as i think they look too skinny. I like chunky / deep dish.
Also whats the compromise size to go for look over performance...
Why does everyone rate ITG panel filteres/ IK's over say a K&N panel/typhoon kit or BMC? just interested, before owning the 172 i'd not heared of them.
Sam
yeah, go up past storthes, turn right at the top of the road and follow it round for half a mile and you come to a fairly long straight before that nasty steep left hand turn (which is fun if you know it). I took them there on the left.
Sam
Picked it up finally last night and OMFG what a car! i love it! A hell of a lot quicker and agile than my old valver thats for sure! On the way back had a bit of a tango with my mates fiat coupe 20v turbo and there was no difference up to about 70mph which was suprising (thought he'd cane me!)...
Im 20 and have just bought a Ph1 172.
Judging by the ages above it would explain why i found insurance so expensive! rediculous really when i insured a modded 155bhp 1.8 16v with all mods declared at 18 with the same insureance company for £300 cheaper than i can insure a 172 now with an...
Not sure, initially thought it ws the tracking however this has been sorted and its still pulling. Past experiences have found AA / RAC car inspections a wast of time ie only picking up on the really obvious things that someone with a decent car knowledge would have found anyway. Plus the car is...
