Been tracking the fuel consumption since this becoming the main car, just out of interest rather than wanting to be as efficient as possible
Last tank of fuel was >35mpg and currently averaging 33.98mpg. This is far better than the two year average for my old M140i, which was 31.01mpg - yes I...
Bit of one step forward and two back today.
New bulbs fitted, now they are all the same.
Made loads easier as I had the bumper off to fit a new grill thing as the original one was cracked. Looks better now.
However when putting the bumper back on I was struggling to get the bolts that go...
Have you tried reprogramming the key? There is a guide on here somewhere. But it’s like put the key in the ignition, hold the central locking button down by the gear stick the do something else. Worked with one of my keys recently when that wouldn’t work
Oh really? I would not have thought it was that. I can see the whole bulged aread where the arm rest is moving and pressure above the speaker grill stops it. If that is the case then I might risk taking it off.
What was the issue and how did you fix? My drivers door card is rattle/vibrating only on idle about 90% of the time and putting my knee against it stops it. Looks like all the clips and fixings are being used but the door cards were off recently to fix the windows and must not have gone back on...
Fitted a new steering wheel. Forgot how much nicer it is without the standard wheel.
Brother has already offered to fit the new suspension, he was really keen to do it and I hadn't even asked him to help out. Will get that ordered next month and take it from there as to when we can get...
Bought their Hybrid Detailer and Shampoo as well to use to top it up as per their instructions.
I was more getting at do they wear off over time or with washing it/exposure to the elements?
How "long" do coatings last for? As do they wear off due to time or useage, if that makes sense?
As I have just put some AMDetails Hybrid Sealant on the Clio and E34 and it says 12 months of protection. The Clio lives outside and is used a lot where the E34 is inside a agarge 99% of the time...
Do the Ph2's have a a fuel cut off switch near the battery like the Ph1's? Little red circle thing.
I accidently triggered mine somehow recently and had the same problem. https://cliosport.net/threads/whats-this-button.790624/
Looks like it's a Ph1 thing, anything similar on the Ph2's?
Yeah it’s been treated a lot! More than I had planned in the time I’ve had it. But more is still to come. Driving it about was a if factor in me getting rid of my M140 as I enjoyed it too much. You’ll end up with another, everyone comes back!
Finally got my hosepipe installed so took the opportunity in the good weather to clean it. Used the new AMDetails items I bought a few weeks back. Looks really good now. Do reccomend this items.
Polishing a turd comes to mind
Although it highlights the real need of a full respray. But the way...
I did loads of scrapping like you did, was easier after using a heat gun but didn't get it all off. I might have to give it another go then with more elbow grease.
How did you get the sticker on the drivers visor mirror flap? I also took mine off the weekend as it was flaking. But nothing seems to shift the glue - tried IPA, nail varnish remover and heated with a heat gun. It’s just the last little bits of the glue.
The next thing I was going to try was...
I don't think I have used a rear wiper in the past 14 years of driving I don't think? Although I do have a rain repllant on the windows and that does make a difference.
Before my current Ph1 I had only ever driven one with bucket seats so never really understood people's issues with the...
I keep looking at the “enlarged refurbed” ones on eBay and not sure about them. I really don’t want to have to do it as it will be on ITBs at some point in the future.
I know, why they stopped making them is madness. The after market ones are rubbish.
Is that a new/refurbed throttle body?
I have noticed mine is starting to stick when driving in stop start traffic so it's probably a downward slope for it now. I probably shlould change the throttle cable on it as a start.
Sounds a good plan to me that does. Didn’t think of the tail gate but there is some gaps in the double skin of that
It’s one thing I have noticed is how refined new cars are. Going from a new M140i to the Ph1 made me appreciate it. Doesn’t stop me enjoying the Clio more! Well, if it had heated...
I was thinking something the same for mine since getting my new exhaust (it might be loud but hell of a lot quieter than the previous one which was so poor fitting it banged on the chassis which made the car undrivable). I was going to put some under the boot mat as a starting point and maybe...
I glazed my E34 last week and going to apply the hybrid sealant after work this Friday. Need to get the Clio done too at some point when the weather picks up, that’s needs a proper clean and wouldn’t mind giving it a once over with the DA first. My brother also got the same stuff, he is more...
New washer jets turned up. I pushed the boat out and went for genuine Citroen ones, however they were in Alfa Romeo packaging
Worked a treat so turned out the previous washer jets were a dud. Did order a new washer fluid pump just in case and fitted that too
the Bluetooth to aux converter I...
