MoT test this morning....passed first time! Was pleased with that. So treated it to a good wash as it hasn't been done for several weeks now
So plans for it. I am like dragging my heels with it, mainly as I am having less time and it is the daily car. So I am now activley on the hunt for a...
I agree with this. Perfectly comfortable and fine when in normal mode then if you want turn it to sport and it firmed it right up, or it did it to my liking at least.
If I were to have another I would go passive and then replace with Bilstein dampers.
I also need to not read this thread. As I...
I drove mine through a flooded road once and didn't die. That was a funny trip - went to my friend's house, not been for a while and first time using this which had sat nav. I knew where they lived but there was a short cut they used and my sat nav was directing my what I thought was the same...
New driveshaft fitted along with fresh gear box oil. Will see if this cures the flat spot noise. Otherwise an excuse for new wheels.
Also had Powerflex steering rack bushes fitted. Think the only bushes that are yet to be replaced are rear beam ones.
Parts for the seats have all turned up...
Infinity Exhaust down on junction 16 of M4, not sure if you would class that as local as you are a bit further north than me. I've had 4 made from them over the years for various cars and they have all been bang on - tell them what you want, how loud, what tips you want. Lifetime warranty. Made...
That is the orange?! My mistake. Certainly doesn't look it in that picture. And yes I would have the orange too if I were to have another. The grey was nice but it was a little bland after a while.
I am in Gloucester, can post if needed.
Sort of wish I had the red one now when I had mine - there was one available but I bottled it, mainly as all the other cars at home were red (not by choice!).
Easily the "best" car I have owned, but not my favourite one. However I would have another one.
I do have a genuine boot liner that I...
Was at Caffeine and Machine earlier and loads of people were looking at a TVR engine, like what is special about a Rover V8??
Because a standard TVR isn't a handful to drive already
Need to get a N/S drive shaft for my Ph1 172. I m certain the part number is 8200027881. I want to get THIS one of eBay - I searched for the part number and thge description says it is the right one for a Ph1.
Is it just the Cup's that are different so any non-cup 172/182 Ph1/2 will fit...
Seats have been returned, just waiting for them to be delivered so a replacement larger set can be sent out.
Did a bit of investigating earlier as I thought i had a flat spot on one of the wheels or tyres. did always notice like a noise but it has got worse and you can hear and feel it now with...
The one place that comes to mind is Gloucester Services. Well easy to get to for all.
Unless a little further afield....Forest somewhere?
From Gloucester it is about an hour if done have to go through traffic.
Seat subframes have turned up and so have the seats
Thought I would be safe with the smaller seats being a slim 30" waste.....no, no I was not safe. I fit in them and its very cosy but it wont be comfortable for daily driving so have to get the next size up. Hope the seller doesn't mess around...
Chris Mullins on Bristol Road. They are the only place I use for tyres and that.
Or book yourself in to the Motorworks also on Bristol Road as they have full geometry and corner weighing equipment - they did my 172 recently. Find them on Facebook or Instagram.
Stole the idea from my brother who has done the same in his car.
The tool kit that comes with the car I don’t think goes over the studs so need to use the deep socket and a big breaker bar is so much easier to undo wheel nuts. It’s a lot more secure than rattling about in the boot. Ideally...
Nice little upgrade has happened.
Bilstein B14 suspension, PMS solid top mounts and rear ARB. Also had new front wish bones fitted. Then it was corner weighted and set up properly.
Now sits a lot better and less 4x4 spec ride height like it was before
Not driven it properly yet so will try...
It's very over engineered for what it does, but I mainly did it as a showcase in case I need a new job. It's not perfect but will do. Like you can't make a mistake and delete an entry and I did have a model to see if mpg was going up/down but then I made the whole thing more efficient and it was...
