had some new pads fitted about a thousand miles ago by edde, was expecting them to screech/squeek for the first couple of hundred miles until they bed in... but its been over a thousand miles now and its still screeching just as bad.... although, it only seems to happen with the pedal lightly...
time gets longer and longer... i must have entered it wrong 10 times and it was days between when i could try it again.... went to reno and they gave me the code.. but wouldnt unlock the unit so i had to wait like 4 days for it to reset, then enter the code.
yeah found some strips in b&q :approve:
...although i went to halfrauds later and saw the exact same product.
Old plates came off easy even tho they were on with sticky tabs
new plates are on now thank god.
is anyone using velcro on their plates so they can be easily removed? if so, do they look like the plates are sticking out further from the boot/front?
i had a quick look for some velcro tabs in halfrauds but couldnt see any... any idea where to get hold of some?
cheers
lol, the avatar image was taken with the car filthy... its acctually meant to be a wierd grey color, but sometimes looks blue, usually when more dirt is on it lol
renault call it 'tempest', not seen many of the same color anywhere tbh its pretty wierd
im going to be putting hubcentric spacers on my front wheels... most probably 10mm per side. obviously im going to be looking to get longer bolts, but what about locking wheel nuts... will the originals be ok or do i need to buy longer ones? if so, renault or halfrauds?
cheers.
might give them a call on monday
and edde cheers for doing the pads they are fine it feels soo much better now... they were squeeking alot at first and they still do a bit on occasion now not much though... i guess its normal until they bed in yeah?
