I've read the "how to restore headlights" posts, and decided to get the 3M stuff. Watched videos and that and now know what to do.
But the lights I am restoring are currently not on the car but will be come tomorrow. Is it best to do the restore when the lights are on or off the car? I am...
I am not sure what the polish was, I asked my brother (who is into the car detailing thing) I want to remove the protection I have put on and whatever else is on there, and he whacked out two bottles of different grades. We did a coarse one first and then a finer one. The ammount of crap that...
Yep, as it was ok before a shower, then 10mins later after eating lunch went out to it and then it was like the photo. Same the other day when I came out of work when it had been raining int he day. As I said its only the roof and bonnet that are affected, the doors/sides/boot are unaffected...
Ok, so now I have a picture (and remebered I posted about this!)
I have machine polished the roof and bonnet and it does nothing to these marks. I think the ones of the roof have changed, like they just fade away naturally and then when the car gets wet and then stands in the sun the water...
Brake lights were constantly on....managed to fix that!
Had a brief panic as I thought I shorted something out as I noticed it after washing it and thought I got water somewhere where it shoudln't go. but remebered my step dad had the same issue when he took it to Llandow when he owned the car...
Just before the 50mph speed limit
RB 182, did wave!
Then infront of that a black 182 with just the "sport" bit of the Renault Sport badge where the Clio badge is on the boot. No Cliosport stickers on it though so may not be from here
Three Clio's in a row did look quite cool!
Never had any issues with no seats and belts in the back of mine (or any other track car at home in the past) passing an MOT test, it is obvious you can't take passengers!!
I was going to bring mine, but my step dad managed to "fix" the brakes on his MX5 Friday evening so we went out in that on track. I say fix.......it didn't have any and he said it was questionable at times. Was still faster than an A4 and a Focus.
But seeing everyone's Clio's out made me...
About 6ish. I followed the car on the A4 then over took it on the A329(M) where there were no road works so no speed restriction. Said 182 was still doing 50
This is excellent, exactly the info I need, as I had the main filter set up sorted in my head. I didn't know what was meant by the ICV pipe and that just threw me. Will look at getting those parts for next month, time to do some overtime at work as I need to some other things for the car (and...
I used industrial grade iso-proply-alcohol and that worked fine. I replaced my elf sticker with a cut one I had made up so it doesn't havbe that nasty clear backing thing, just the white of the lettering and looks miles better.
Ok this has taken a while for me to get around to this after my post a while back, but actually reading through this are fitting this to a Ph1 different?
What crank breather do you mean @Dr Jekyll ?? Is it this bit of pipe?
And presume you just put some other hose and a mini filter on it the...
I've got custom made mounts for my seats.....aka a few pieces of metal that were kicking about home bolted to the original holes. It is quite low and you do feel it. Is a pain to see parking bays.
If I were to to it again I would have it a little higher and forward a bit. But I can't complain...
Had the same issue on mine when my step dad first owned the car, I think my brother "fixed" it by gobbing loads of tiger seal to make one. It seams to have worked, still like it over years later!!
Finished the inlet and fuel rail guard yesterday, hopefully this will help tidy up the engine bay.
Need to purchase a battery cover too, got one eyed up on eBay, I just need to pull my finger out and pay for it! Also gave the enine bay a bit of a clean and de-grease too. That is looking lots...
That's a nice simple induction kit, I like it a lot. Would like to get one for mine, mainly for the noise factor! But can't really justify spending £100's on a kit, so a DIY one seems like a good option.
Selling the steering wheel I took off the car a while ago. I just want it gone as I cba to take it to my new place next month.

Will probably have to do the same on mine as I don't have the facilities to do this at my place, at my parents I do though! Plus I need my car daily so I can't have it in pieces for too long.
You can.....

But for £24...really?? I made my own by gluing a blanking gromet over the hole. I painted the bit of plastic first though to make it...
This is what I am currently doing to my engine bay, getting that all nice and tidy. My inlet is currently in the garden drying, hopefully it will be dry enough tomorrow to sand back the lettering to paint orange.
