I never drilled any holes bud as the wings are plastic i just used a self tapping screw up the topof them and also where the 2 existing bolts/screws are that holds the sideskirt to the arch and where it meets the arch at each side.

I Wire brushed them with the electric drill and wire brush attachment then cleaned them with brake cleaner and then Hammerite as it was cheaper than caliper paint you get in the two tins.
And there was no problems with flaking etc whe i went over them again quickly the other week :)
You can paint the bullet/badge in the colour of your choice then paint the letters with the colour of your choice and lacquer if required.
I used a black touch up pen for my letters ;)
