The temperature gauge in my 2002 172FF sits at half way on the scale when the cars warmed up (after about 10-15 minutes from start up-maybe longer in colder weather)
Is this normal ?
And is it ok to give my car s**t with it in that position ?
Would it really be properly warmed up ?
Or...
After reading this thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=312032
I was wandering can you get these Racelogic systems the guy in that thread has on his Clio Williams for a 2002 172FF ?
Tank of juice you'll probably get :)
Mats you may be lucky.
My car was minus mats though when i got it and the said i'd have to pay for them if i wanted them, they couldn't throw them in with car :(
They said "Mate have you seen the price of the mats for these cars (172,182's) ?"
So i...
Another Iceberg Silver 172FF in Aberdeen :):D
£6500 is a bit steep, if you don't mind travelling it may be worth trying Ren dealers down south a bit for a 182 for the same price.
The only thing is the warranty might not be the same...
Thats what i've got and my car came from there as well...
I was £107 for an aux belt kit for my FF.
But a Cup it maybe cheaper.
I went to Mackie Motors as it was cheaper than Renault (eVAN hALSHAW IN aBERDEEN) by a few hundred quid for a timing belt and aux belt and fitting them. ;)
Does anyone know if the gasket would have to be replaced if the manifold had been removed ?
Or will you get away with using it again being a metal one ?
Reason being my inlet manifold was removed and refitted using the old gasket
*UPDATE*
I still have my old manifold gasket where the upper plenum (manifold with Renaultsport) joins the lower manifold (one with injectors).
They said that was the problem of my dodgy idle.
So why haven't they replaced it ?
The service manager said the mechanic had taken the upper...
Ah righty.
Is there none up there ?
Could you not broden your search a bit ?
Theres on in dundee i think on Auto Trader at a garage. ;)
And if you head south theres more chance of getting a better deal :)
Maybe get one for less.
I think a lot of people are gettin silly prices for things like coolant changes etc from Renault as they are charging a high hourly labour rate :(
Would def be worth getting a local mechanic to bleed the brakes and change the coolant etc ;)
Or don't do it all at once break the coolant and...
I'd just carry a few bottles of water in the car with you so you aint caught short bud.
And even that rad weld stuff in the blue bottle may be worth a shot ;)...
Youngish lassie, mid to late 20's.
My bird just said the car used to live round corner from me, they moved into a house beside me then the car was sold
I'm sure i have seen that car going around Portlethen (a wee town outside Aberdeen where i live) but not for a while as he has it now..
I remember the silly exhaust, as there wasn't any in aberdeen with that exhaust i think.
Make sure its had all the belts done as said as this is how much i...
My one went that way as well ;)
Heres my Receipt.
Did you go to Mackie Motors for your rear shocks mate ?
As there slightly cheaper aren't they ?
But aint worth my money in petrol going there :(
I have just removed the K & N Panel Filter from my 172FF as its surplus to requirements.
Does anyone know the going rate for them ?
Or is it not worth selling ?
Its had approx 6 months of use and is in vgc.
Does anyone know if a leaking inlet manifold gasket would cause the idle on my car to go all over the place ?
As my car is in at the stealers at the moment as the idle is all over the place :( and they say thats the problem.
Shooting up to 3000 rpm and done to 1000rpm etc etc and sticking at...
