@matthewsimone they are all over the place because of what people do to them. Cambelt job is circa £600, then you have the ones that have been abused. Some are well look after and some are mint. I see them priced from £500-£3500. Is just one of them cars I guess.

In the dry, perfect. In the wet, they let go a bit but seem to find grip pretty quickly. I would go for the rainsports over these next time but for the money, they are good. Just purely to track is probably the cup. Cheaper for belts etc and has less to it than the non cups.

so 172 cup shocks for the rear and what about the front? Can I use cup ones there aswell?

@Tomotek what do I need to change to cup dampers then from a standard 172 setup? confused the hell outta me that.

The shocks are prone to going on these so may need a refresh. They are cheap direct from Renault aswell and pretty easy to change. Might be worth a try. If you opt to getthe cup ones then make sure you get the correct bolt spacing for your car as they do differ by a few mm.
