Sure you havent turned them off? Try with just the ignition on, putting the sidelights on and off twice. You will then hear a beep. See if that works? If not do that again and it'll go back to how you had em before.

You can buy a whole new gear gaitor from renault for about £6. It comes as a whole part. You even get the cable tie, to fix it on!
