Update on the track car engine. Not the dephaser - didn't think it was that anyway - but the valves.
When i think about it, it's the same issue i had when i first bought the car. I guess after 4 track seasons and several thousand hard track miles, it's gotten a lot worse.
Going to replace the...
Gutted for you fella.
The joys of novice championships - some good fair racers, but also Trackday heroes (bellends) - which is why I decided not to race mine.
Hope you can bounce back as you were doing well.
I’ve already been in touch with MS Custom Engineering but must be very busy. Who else would people recommend?
Just wanting upper and lower inlets doing and preferably aqua blasting.
I’m running Pro-am kit. Did 2 trackdays on original parts without issue. Got sent the upgraded parts, fitted them and did another Trackday without issue. I’ve now got the latest upgrade v3 which I’m fitting before next Trackday.
Can’t fault the aftersales service from Scott who kept me in the...
The internet told me this was 💯 the Dephaser but it wasn’t. Turned out to be valve guides. Better to find a garage that deals in Renault and pay them a few quid to inspect it properly.
Sadly had to cancel this Sunday’s Trackday at Croft because of a knocking coming from the upper part of the engine.

So are you just doing the remainder of 2021 developing and doing trackdays?
Back in the company lease scheme for 6 months so new car on the way.
Took the old girl out for a final drive before tucking her away until 2022.
I’ve had a solid offer to buy her which I’m still mulling over, but my heart is telling me to sorn her, then when the lease is up, go and have...
Only one i really know of is the PMS 200 Cell Sports Cat. The caveat being you have to purchase the exhaust as well. If you go down the route of the decat drop me a pm as i have one lying around in the garage.
Never been to Caffeine & Machine but has always been on the bucket list. Not much going on in the Yorkshire/North East section so might just come down on me tod anyway. Will i be the only one in Clio Sport then :ROFLMAO:
Finally managed to source a few more Yokohama A052's after searching all over the place. Plenty of deals about but no stock.
Luckily enough a good mate tipped me off to a local supplier who was keeping them for a lad who races in tin tops, but doesn't need them right now. Mixed reviews on...
Most European factories close down for a short period towards the end of summer, to re-tool and restart production from Oct onwards. So your car will have rolled off the production line up to between 2004-2005. As has already been stated, your car would have sat around until the dealer...
