Just restarted and its back to normal :S
Doing a backup to my memory stick now in case it happens again.
I just want to make it work, reinstall/repair, all the same to me haha!
I have a dell disc 'drivers and utilities' and the vista 'operating system'
one of those what you mean?
i am a complete r****d when it comes to computers so any help would be awesome :)
Bit of a tangent, but any chance you have some info/pics on where you are fitting the harness to, ive literally just put a thread up about it.
Try local iron monger places, or tool shops.
I'm thinking of fitting a drivers harness, 4 point, but not sure where I can mount the 2 lap belt bits...
I was thinking I could mount one underneath the passenger seat between the subframe and the floor, would that be ok?
Not sure where I would fit the other side though?
Was gonna facefuck you earlier mate, s**t about the car :(
I told you mate, it's because im ginger!
I'm hoping for around £1.2k when i renew in may too ;)
Can't find anything using the search, too many results with no info.
Anyone know prices from Renault for the above parts please.
Also, anyone know exhaust mount prices?
The exhaust mounts didnt work as well as i hoped! They both slipped loose during some playing ealier on today in the snow.
Just been under the car for an hour trying to bodge then on again for now, well annoyed :(
Think im just gonna go and buy some brand new ones, and try and re-enforce...
Looks like it held up well though, a lot of force to move the boot floor like that and the cabin looks immaculate.
Obviously needs a whole new boot floor welding in which won't be cheap, i think on my previous clio that got hit it was around £1800 for the floor and labour....
Don't need them mate. All you need is a small amount of pressure on the top plate as you remove the nut from the top of the shock.
I've done a fair few including my own so i know from experience.
I'd keep the spare rears as they are prone to going so will make it easier when they do.
I would be surprised if the shocks are any different to be honest, I didnt notice hardly any difference between a cup's and non cup'd 182, which i would put down to the slightly (literally 2mm) lower height.
Have to get it machined out mate, think there is a 2mm difference.
Only thing is, do you get the top or bottom hole machined in order to keep it to the same dimensions as a true cup setup.
Just change the springs, easier.
I just used some car shampoo mate.
I copper clipped them when fitted, and also given them a few squirts with WD40 so it all came off fairly easily with some warm water.
Previous owner bought a cat c and had cup suspension on the front, he couldnt get hold of any sachs so bought these, then found some.
£400?
I was thinking a lot more, just under £1k delivered from Ktec with camber bolts....
I'm thinking about upgrading to AST's, I want lower and stiffer!
If I decide to go through with it the H&R's will be up for sale.
They are under a year old, I bought then off an old boy who had them for about 4k miles on a trophy. And I've done about 4k on them myself.
They are for Cup...
Basically I got a knife and cut the 4 rubber arms which hold the central mount, then undid the 3 bolts and removed the mount completely.
Hardest bit was then using the knife, getting the rest of the rubber off which is a really tight fit onto the metal bar coming off the exhaust.
Once that...
