Weight saved:
Stripping 33kgs
Wheels 24kgs
H&R's 3kgs
So this puts the bhp/ton at around 174.75, improved from 167 according to parkers weight of 1090kgs.
Edit, cage MIGHT be on the cards, but only if a cheap MSV one comes up or something, also not sure how insurance would take a rolls...
My 182 :D
Mods so far:
H&R's at -ve 2.5
Enkei lightweight 15's + yoko paradas
Painted calipers
EBC redstuff pads
Stripped rear
Rear strutbrace
Silvervisions
CTR aerial
307 front splitter
Bits to be fitted when I get to Birchdown:
Ktec decat
Ktec braided lines
AP racing fluid
Brembo Max...
The difference you have now between standard and fitting them but not set up, multiply that by around 4.63914 million, and that's how much better it is!
Seriously though, worlds apart.
My mate has an AE86, its awesome and is pretty quick (16v one)
BUT, the soarer is the ultimate car for amazingness. I reckon after your 200 you'll be annoyed at how 'slow' they are, the Soarer rules!
The car has:
H&R's
Lightweight 15's
Stripped out
Rear strut brace (does nothign but for looks)
EBC redstuffs
KTR braided hoses
AP racing fluid
Will have Brembo HC Max's after i kill the standards on my first trackday
Ktec Decat
Camber was done with a digital protractor, but only because he managed to nick one from work, he normally does it through trig.
Pics will be up at some point, car will be finished as of friday so maybe then!
Rich - Seems fine apart from a bit of tramlining on the motorway, normal day to day...
It seems a 'simple' job once you know what to do, he talked me through a bit of it, and to be honest the hardest part is setting the box equal around the car, then it's just using Trig to set the angles etc all in.
But a lot of garages don't deal with this stuff day to day so I could understand...
Friend of a friend ;)
I 'think' most places charge for 3 hours labour to do this job if you fit them yourself, he did it in about 1 hour 20 to have it done completely, using only a jack etc with going up and down to check measurements, on ramps it would probably have been an hour dead.
Finally got my coilovers set up when the lad doing them had some time to spare.
He used to work for a Clio cup team, and recently set up and raced an EP3 CTR in the Britcar 24hour and came 6th overall!!!
Anyways, equipped ith 2 fishing poles, fishing wire, 4 axle stands, a jack, and some...
^ Cheers mate.
My mpg seems pretty good, going to work and back is a short journey so never goes above 4krpm, and when i get chance it gets a decent hard drive and i get around 32mpg.
Interesting stuff though :)
My teeth are weaker than my array of adjustable spanners, think I'll invest in a proper spanner set come payday.
I have fitted so many clios with suspension etc from springs to coilovers and only used 2 adjustable spanners haha!
