Is it worth having the F4R head worked on, i.e port and polished etc? Was wondering if this is the area to focus on (better breathing)
Was toying with the idea of buying a 2nd hand cylinder head to be worked on. Apologies if this has been covered, i had a brief look in the search function...
I bought the complete setup 2nd hand off a 172 cup in a breakers for £75, keep looking out for them. IIRC the Kangoo 1.9 diesel uses the same alternator, there was 1 on E Bay for £50
Its about £90ish for 1 bracket and £30ish for the other, £8 for the aux belt, £120 for an exchange cup alternator and about £20-£30 for bracket bolts. I have all the part numbers to hand for the 'Cup' alternator setup
I'm booked in for a power run this Saturday morning purely to see how it lays down the power. If it then requires the map to be tweaked to gain anything I'll be taking it to Tour de Force
Yes it certainly was Paul at RS tunings old shell, i believe Danny bought the car off him. I don't know the goings on in between but this is how i came to find it when i went to view it for the first time. I had to think hard and long about taking this project on as it was quite literally bare...
I'm in the same situation. Now the Clio is running I'd like to do a power run to see how the power curves are now the inlets are matched, induction changed, running a decat and stealth exhaust. I believe the ECU self reads, how far does this go, running Shell V Power
Some of my phase 1 Clio

Andy, i bought them from a company on E Bay called Auto Performance Online. I've fitted them to the white Clio so i'll sort the dimensions for you.

Thank you, it isn't my fault. I bought the shell with the rollcage still in it and that's literally all what was left in it. I went to view it to see in person what would be involved to get this Clio back on the road, everything! I mean everything. It was a tall order but i think i pulled it off...
Ok here you go! I mocked up one of my white Speedline 2118s to see how they'd look, i ended up selling them to finance a new set of FK Konigsport coilovers and went with the original OZ F1s.

Thank you :)
RE: holes i'm not sure whether to fit the 'Renault, Clio and Sport' badges on (either buy new ones or source 2nd hand) i think the chrome on them might not suit the car. Another option was to cut some 1mm thick carbon fibre in a parallelagram shape to cover them.
I'll try and...
It is indeed RS Tunings old shell, the plan now is to hook it up to the rollers for a power run to see how it does and to check the power curve. Yes with the shell stripped out, the loom stripped to the minimum with no leccy windows, heating, AC, central locking, stereo it should be fairly quick...
It's now on the road so i thought i'd take some pics of it, really pleased with the outcome. It's just how i wanted it to be, to me an understated, minimal look.

Re: White Trackday 172 Project
I had a cheeky drive up the road and back today, felt good but it won't be on the road properly until the 1st July
Me too TBH.....
