You design the amount of traction into a car though. A Clio only has a set amount to make it fun/usable for the average joe. It could have been designed with far more but it didn't need it. Like i said a MK3 MX5 is considered to have good traction but thats becuase it doesn't have that...

The Clio is designed to have a set amount of traction. The Focus is designed to have a set amount of traction. In the same way a MK3 MX-5 is degined to have no more traction than a MK1 MX-5. Its like comparing a goat to a brick.
