I really like these cars. Fair play.

Cliosport doesn't like anything unless it either:

  • A supercar
  • A Renault decked on it's arse with a c**k ring in the front bumper.
Why the f**k would he want to lower it? It's a mile muncher not a show car to impress the charvers at FCS or wherever it is you all show off your tow eyes and blue side lights.

Teehee... that made me giggle. I must agree, but at least they're honest I suppose!

i like what ahmed has done he's taken the loeb and made it a regular vtr+ with black wheels removing almost everything externally that makes it a ltd edition.
The spoiler is like £300 on its own and god knows howmuch the stickers will be to replace the original loebs stickers that just went under the window seals are something like £50 a side or something equally silly. so yours may be alot more since they are like a full door thing.

the C4 is a good car and extrememly good value for money and despite what any one says has no more problems than any other car. its a very comfortable car and does handle pretty well not a sharp as a focus but there are a lot worse out there.
I lol at all the depreciation talk from renault drivers. IIRc he stole the car £11k brand new. you can bearly get low spec fiesta new for that money.

lowering is a good idea though if you get eibachs then there is zero reduction in ride, i actually think the ride got better in mine when i lowered it.

The only thing i removed was badges, rear fog light and a silly spoiler

So 'almost everything externally that makes it ltd edn' is a spoiler + stickers? LOL

I've always wanted Citroën to make a proper fire breathing homologated road car but doubt they ever will, shame the rules don't make them do it.

They look wrong without the spoiler though. The spoiler is what makes the car. In the flesh they just don't look right without them. Spoiler was only ever fitted to the Loebs and VTS180 models. Rest of them it was an optional extra at one point they were nearly £600 to add as well.

Nice Oms. High ride heights are good :approve: plenty of comfort and pronounced weight transfer just when you need it.

It goes OK?

I've lost 2 sec to 60... but gained about 5mpg average = not fussed!!!

Town MPG similar... but motorway MPG p*sses on my old car. Wait until it's run-in, I rekon it'll get better.

SO much quieter... SO much comfier... SO much more room... wish I'd bought this in the first place TBH.

I ride MTB, I surf, I camp, I climb... it makes sense to have something bigger, comfier and more economical.

I will, however, get some eibach pro springs for it.

Saw one on the motorway today - no spoler... looked wrong.

PS Rest of the door stickers coming off tomorrow hopefully.

I have the older 2 litre VTS model as well as my 182. Love them both for different reasons. Quite like the black,I have white, which is nearly 5 years old, still fun to drive.
Do agree looks quite high, seems higher than mine

I'd put the standard wheels back on.
I remember these c4's steering wheel being weird to use at first! The outside turns but inside dosen't move...

The VTS does sit lower. Around 20mm I believe. Don't notice it so much until you park next to one running at standard ride height though and then you can see it in the mirrors.

They are the standard wheels, facelift Loebs get black wheels with black paint, white wheels with red paint.

same here, it just looks wrong somehow ?

perhaps some lowering

For a lowered one look at pictures of Jaff's or Mine, believe we both have images on here. We both have ours lowered. Think Jaffs is around 50mm and mine is closer to 80mm.

Tempted to lower it... but it's so bloody comfortable, I really don't want to spoil that, lol!

I've decided that the stipe's a bit weird - I'll be removing that sooner than later (before I get fade in the paint).

Averaged 37MPG over the past 970 miles - can't complain. I'll get an improvement over that one the engine is a bit looser.

Wozzaa, couldn't find any pic's of your car after a search. Would like to see!!
I'm getting better MPG in the C4 than I get in the 182, and as said above it is a sensational mileage muncher, I never take the 182 if it's a longish drive, as I feel safer and more relaxed in the VTS.
As for the monkey's, I suggest that you drive a VTS and then tell me it's not a good car, sure it's not as direct as a RSC but it's more GT.;)

The VTS was never meant to be a hot hatch though. It was always more of a comfortable car which you can still have a bit of fun in.

Anyway picture of mine. I really need to get some better pictures of it. It is on Bilstein B14's. Rear isn't actually that low normally just had a fair amount of heavy equipment in the boot. The good thing is that even as low as it is. Comfort levels are really good.

Will get some better pictures up on the C4OC in a week or 2 when all my new parts are installed. Got brakes, spacers and few other things to go on. Might also be sunny and clean and thus will look less like custard.

only just spotted this pic!!! Looks very mean lowered, but I'd be worried about my fillings.

Had some monkey in a LCR try to make a point of sitting on my arse the other day. He wasn't there for long. For something with DOUBLE power, I was disappointed.

It's not the car... just experience. A little 1.6 in a family car is more than enough to tackle the local A roads.
