Thats a good price Steve. Thought the viper was between 200 and 250 plus the cost of throttle body adaptor.
Is it the correct Viper for the Clio. Looks a bit large and I would have thought if you could get one that is lees wide could run it backwards after moving the battery forward a little...
Think I still have the standard 16v speakers for mine available if wanted. Not sure if the same as Williams though. 5.25 inch door and 4 inch rear. There may be the two small ones in dash but never looked behind as have replaced with components.
Rob,
Live in the midlands and really need my rear set up sorting. Got SOme MB Quart PSC 316 3 way speakers which I am gonna have the 4 inch where the standard rear speakers are and 6.5 inch in a stealth shelf.
Then need the crossovers and wiring tidied up on false floor bottom that is...
Used Redline sythetic stuff on my valver from Demon Tweeks. MX5 users recommend it for curing 1st and 2nd gear change problems.
Definately worth doing to try and keep the gearbox as smooth as you can. If you use good stuff should never have to change it again.
MB Quarts r good. Can get some good deals of ebay too. Or Polk Momo depending on what you can get hold of at what price.
QMs are the best MB Quart unless you go for Balanced QSDs which are twice the price. Although cheaper on eaby.
My Bridgestone S02s and S03s have a directional arrow for rotation. Seem strange one side is diff to the other.
Maybe at the facrory they had a YTS lad in doing the tyres and he did them all for the right hand side. :0)
Didnt disconnect the battery but wouldnt have thought that would matter. Fuse isnt blown and Id of thought that would be first to go.
Cant believe the no. of times I have taken them on and off before it got dark. There are two connections and think I forgot one of them but still nothing...
Finally got round to replaceing the old corroded ones today. Put them in and didnt work. Looked and they come without bulbs (should have checked !)
So swapped over them from old fogs and still didnt work. Checked connections, fuse etc.
Too late to get new bulbs as that is all I can think...
http://www.motorsportworld.co.ukwww.motorsportworld.co.uk ??? Any1 used them, £136.67 inc VAT plus only £9 postage beats Ktec (£163.33 inc VAT plus £6 postage less 5 % discount)
Renault will be a plastic one and I guess you need metal if standard.
Ebay has some and you just need to make sure you either get the silver or grey metal ones depending on what your phase 2 centre colour is.
Bit tricky as rear wheel bearing is inside the hub part of the rear disk, if you know what I mean. So disk comes off and you have to get a press topush old bearing out and new one in.
Good excuse to get some new disks at the same time, which would prevent the need to push out the old ones...
Yeah autoglym drying cloth is good. Or go to a local shop that sells allsorts and you can pick up a vileda cloth for 2 or 3 quid that is exactly the same as the autoglym.
Meguiars drying cloth is supposed to be even better but pricey at 15 quid.
Weird size thats why. Anyway Valver standard size is 185/55/15 not 195/55/15. Ended up putting 195/50/15 on mine as they are cheaper and more tyres available in that size.
After much research plumped for FK Automotive as they are TUV approved i.e. actually tested on car. They are starting to be sold by loads of places and are made in germany and apparently use Koni internals. I was also told they have a lifetime guarantee which cant be bad.
Plumped for...
Yeah thinking the same. Dont think you can get the flip if you want backlighting.
Want sometinging subtle but then blue at night. With perhaps the red used for high rpm 7-8k.
Also wondering if anything can be done with heater dials as they are also lit the same as the dials.
If you go to National tyres with the voucher out the paper (tabloids) you get duckhams qxr semi synthetic and filter all done for 15 quid. The oil costs 20 quid in the shops. Never done it myself for that price.
Other places offer Mobil 1 at about 32 quid all in inc filter. Depends if you...
eah just do a search on google and you should find dasteks website who make them and anyone who fits thems.
Now that the cost of a chip is increasing nearer to something like a unichip it makes sense to go the unichip route. Think you can unplug it later so you can sell your car without it...
Got a BB when it was a lot cheaper and had fitted at same time as cambelt change. Wouldnt believe the bhp increase figures.
Main thing is the drivability of the car is a lot better with power coming in before the usual 4500 rpm mark and limiter is higher.
Id seriously consider a unichip or...
Thats a good price. My mechanic quoted 25 quid an hour and six hours. Also worth getting clutch cable changed at the same time. That was also a pig of a job (over an hour)
Its an engine out job or you take the subframe out. Some people quote 12 hours. Paid my local garage where I take it 150 quid cash in hand and supplied my own clutch I got from GSF for 55 quid.
Got mine done a few weeks ago. I fyou dont cut it out will spread. Got my valver sprayed all round exc rear bumper, roof and hatch for 500 although 300 odd on top was paid by insurance company for damage to car when it was broken into. That sorted out one panel and delocking.
Rear cards are plastic and seem to be like spot welded with plastic or really strong glue. Need to prise them off gently and they do make a snapping noise as the plastic/glue that holds them on gives way. Fronts are cardboard and have really strong glue, need to be a bit more careful with...
