im taking the rear seats out of my ph1 clio 172. Ive taken the bottom part of the seat out, but im stuck with the back bench. I can see the sides pop/ slide out but the middle part im stuck with. Which bolt do i need to undo?
Cheers in advance,
gez :)
it is always a bonus to have service history, i'd deffinatley want one for a cambelt change (clio sport)
but not having service history wouldnt put me off, you can tell if a car has been looked after or not.
ive done the usuall. Exhaust, inlets, filter and decat. Loving the power atm, and dont feel the need to go looking for more.
Ive got the 'weight' bug on going with my clio. Ive completley removed the A/C and replaced the heater motor with the cup item. Spare wheel and std jack box ,Sound...
hi all.
Seen a few people fitting the 197 inlets to their 172/182's. My questions are:
1. what do you need to fit one (any extras)
2. Are there any gains from it over the original inlet.
3. How much are they? cant seem to find one.
Cheers in advance,
gez.
going to wash the car today, seen as its tidy weather. So pics will be up with the coilovers fitted.
Going to look at getting ph2 sidestripes and bullets aswel, with silver door handles. Should look nice, and make the car look a little newer.
mine is just for road use at the moment. But i like going for 'spirited' drives.
Im using ferodo ds2500 pads on the front with brembo max disks.
K-tec rears with ferodo ds rear pads and hel front and rear braided lines.
Unbelivable bite from them.
Re: Iceberg 172 Cup Project
first time ive looked at this thread, just read the whole thing. Lovley car you have :D
ive got the Gaz coilovers too, good bit of jit for the money. The back on mine is all the way down (tire in line with the arch)
and the front is about 55mm down, going to bring...
looks lovley mate. I bought my 172 on my 19th birthday, love it! I had a corsa gsi before it, so was a nice step up.
Just use your head if you start going heavy on the throttle.
mine is lumpy on idle, idles just over 1k, fine once its warmed up though, idles at 500rpm when warm.
I'd say some people need their lambar sensor changing, should help.
it shouldn't affect the resale of the car at all, its not as if they demand loads of money either.
Are you keep everything original? not lowering it ect. Because if you want an original example, then i'd have a stealth exhaust. To keep with the rest of the car.
have a look at my project thread mate, plenty of pics of the exhaust from behind. Go for a 2.5" bore underneath the car though, and then obviously what ever tail pipe you want.
custom system. 2.5" decat back, straight through to the back box (no silencers) 2.5" cut tail pipe.
Its the same design as the omp exhaust, but with a bigger back box.
changed my gearbox oil yesterday 75/90 and the gearbox feels a little notchy/stiff to normal.
Had a search on here and people say, stay away from 75/90. and go for GL5 grade 75/80?
can i get this from any parts store? (halfords, Motor factor ect)
i would order the oil off opie or simular...
