Replaced mine a few weeks ago at 76k on the original. Quite a bite more precise as there was no real biting point before, just on or off without much pedal travel. Its lighter now and you can feel the biting point better.

FK Automotive do coilovers for the new shape clio inc 172 so cant imagine cup would be too different. You get camber adjustment also on the FK units. Realy good and supposed to have a lifetime warranty if fitted by an authorised dealer.

If you go for 17£ can get Turini in gold or white to make it stand out. Think coilovers would be a smart move. Ktec do FK Automotive and Id recommend them if they do them for the cup. Only trouble is 17" tyres being more expensive than 16" I would have thought.

Yeah BMC. Unless Ktec have sorted their viper for 16v yet. Trouble with BMC is you need an adaptor plate for throttle body so silicone hose can clamp on. Think someone said Ktec can make this out of stainless steel.

Bridgestone S03s. About 48 quid each. Just manages to get 2 S02s and put on rear but they are hard to find. RE720 are also supposed to be good.

Polk Momos or MB Quart Qs would be my choice. If fitting in front can use the QM216 5.25 inch or get a bigger hole made for QM218 6.5 inch like I did.

Spoiler should beheld firm along top edge by sticky stuff. Will need to use sharp knife to seperate spoiler from this and then you can unclip spoiler.

If ball joint goes it can make this noise over bumps.

Why not try getting some redline gearbox oil. Seen posts about MX5 owners swearing by it as it cures a second gear problem on their cars. Might work but then whatever oil is being used should be synthetic anyway and last ages. Just a thought.

What did you use for the feed. I just used the corrugated pipe that came with the CDA pointing downwards then scooped to the from but not long enough to get near the bumper. Dont know if it will make much difference if I can get a longer piece of hose and attach it to the bumper.

Did you find you had to move the battery forward a bit to clear the CDA. I did and its fun changing bulbs :0)

Just had a new clutch fitted after the old one (original) got so heavy after 76k. Old one you never knew where the biting point was, i.e. it wasnt much pedal movement where as new clutch is a lot lighter and biting point not far off depressing the clutch.

Well if I average a 10 percent saving in fuel, tend to get less than 360 with it off and nearer 400 with it on, then that pays for itself and more over a year. As to effect on performance, nothing to record other than smoother feeling acceleration. I think its worth it.

Not gone to 2.0 as yet but I think I will end up just getting bottom end, that way you can do as much as you can to the 1.8 and fit 2.0 bottom last if still not happy. You would not get much back in return for the work youve already done to your 1.8 and finding a 2.0 will be a task in itself...
