    Car collection/delivery help?

Do you have a vehicle you can tow with? You can hire car trailers relatively cheaply. I did this to pick up a car from Southampton once.

    Weird one, can anyone assist

Hi all, I plan on calling Esure about this later today but though't i'd ask on here to see what people think. Basically, my car is insured in my name with the wife as a named driver. She had a stroke last december and only recently got her licence back. She has a full licence, but has a few...

Insurance thread for young 1*2 owners

Don't do that. If you have a bump and the insurance company realise it is your car you won't be covered.

    mot fail incorrect ?

The link above clearly states it is only a fail if they fail to relocate without assistance when lowered back onto the ground. As for the rear brakes, I would WANT my car to fail if the rear brakes weren't doing anything!

    LED number plate bulbs ??

I don't have the ones above but I have some similar. They still make a bit of a beam, but it's much better than std.

    LED number plate bulbs ??

You need bulbs with multi SMD's so they light all around, rather than a focused beam like a torch. Something like these (if it's 501 fitment like it is on my 197, I don't know though) http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/501-194-t10-anti-bulb-warning-xenon-white-wide-angle-13-leds.html

Let her get on with it, just never ever get in her car again though

    200 cup

It's a very small percentage that actually have issues though, and most are sorted under warranty. My 197 is on 62k and is on the original 'box, and aside from being hard to get into first when cold it's tickety boo. The recaros are known to be a problem too, however a lot of that is down to...

197 Does this look too cheap??

Whilst I agree that the seller has put it in the advert, very few average joe public people would know what this means.

197 Does this look too cheap??

Vehilce Condition Alert Register, I asume its some sort of register of cars that have been written off by insurance companies.

197 Does this look too cheap??

Yep, V car. Sneakily hidden at the end of the ad like it's part of the spec
  13. Chrisgti6

Bought the new car, its mint but ....

How much did you pick this up for if you don't mind me asking?
  14. Chrisgti6

What have you done to your car today ???

    197 Gearboxes

Re: 197 Gearbox's No harm in asking, but it is extremely cheap as it is, if it were me selling I wouldn't budge on that.

    197 Gearboxes

Re: 197 Gearbox's Mines 57 plate, October 2007. In terms of price, you will get an R27 in that budget. I paid just under 6k for mine 6 months ago. Ok so mileage was a tad high at 57k and the belts are due now but even still I was pleased at the price.

    197 Gearboxes

Re: 197 Gearbox's Mines an October 2007 R27, it sits at 3500rpm at 70mph, so i'm asuming I have the later 'box?

    Clio 197 Front Grills

Nah, the top ones pull out from the front, no problem. I recently sprayed mine in satin black. The lower one, i'm unsure about.
  23. Chrisgti6

    I fancy a 197

I was under the impression it was 6 years on the 200. My 197 definately states 5 years in the handbook.
  24. Chrisgti6

    I fancy a 197

    6 months = £137.50 12 months = £250 5 years or 72k miles.
  25. Chrisgti6

    I fancy a 197

^ this man speaks much sense! (although of course, I am biased) I used to love the LY ones, until I saw a few in the flesh. To me it doesn't suit the 197, it's best left on the Meganes.
