You need bulbs with multi SMD's so they light all around, rather than a focused beam like a torch.

It's a very small percentage that actually have issues though, and most are sorted under warranty. My 197 is on 62k and is on the original 'box, and aside from being hard to get into first when cold it's tickety boo.

In terms of price, you will get an R27 in that budget. I paid just under 6k for mine 6 months ago. Ok so mileage was a tad high at 57k and the belts are due now but even still I was pleased at the price.

I used to love the LY ones, until I saw a few in the flesh. To me it doesn't suit the 197, it's best left on the Meganes.
