I'd say that's a little overpriced if anything, there's loads of steering wheel/pedal set ups for sale on marketplace, here's one the same as the one you posted..
clicky
take that from the total and it makes the PC look expensive for what it is, also if you're getting a Rift I'd look at gaming...
After seeing your post I googled PC2 Rift S issues, first thing I came across was the centring problem I mentioned earlier, and the fix for it :) so that's that sorted now, just had to bind a key in the settings to centre the camera at any time, simples.
Only issue I've found so far is if I'm letting someone else have a go after I set it up and pass the headset to them it sometimes throws them out to the left of the car, and there's no way to fix it (that I've found) without closing it down and starting again. I got mine from Shpock for £180...
I highly recommend playing Project Cars 2 in VR with a wheel and pedals, fricken awesome, I was grinning from ear to ear like a little kid on my first go :D
For some odd reason the guy wouldn't reply to messages, it's still for sale now on marketplace and Shpock 🤷♂️
He did me a favour in the end because after a re-think, I'd have had to either dedicate the pc to the driving sim, or drag the sim over the desk every time I wanted to use it, I...
I've been looking a lot lately and from what I've seen advertised on marketplace etc I'd estimate £250-300. That's based on what they're being advertised at though, whether they sell is another thing.
I think I'm going to up the budget a bit and keep looking, I think I need a 1080ti.
There's this one at £1300?
GPU: GTX 1080ti 11gb
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz, 4200 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
Motherboard: STRIX Z270E GAMING Ram: G.Skill 32Gb 3200MHz...
This is the one I bought, can't believe he put it up for £250 then the daft sod put 'nothing below £180' in the description, if he hadn't have put that I'd have offered at least £200
Just get a used one from Shpock or FB or similar, I picked mine up today from a few miles down the road for £180, I think I lucked out though because looking on CEX they pay £204-227 for a Rift S depending on condition grade.
Just bought the same steering wheel/pedal/gearstick set up, soon got fed up with the gearstick and switched to the paddles. I’ve been using it on my laptop for a couple of days and it’s been fun, but now I’m looking at Oculus Rift S, and gaming PC’s.
Managed to get the steering wheel etc all in...
I owned the grandad of them all back in the 90s the StarTAC, I still remember the feeling of owning it back then it was amazing felt like having a real star trek communicator, and it was so much smaller than everything else available, which was a good thing at the time :)
