I see the people at that "meet" seem to fit the VXR driver stereotype. Hoods up! I don't like Astra VXR's if I'm honest, although the lime green is quite nice. I wouldn't have it on my car though!

I'm not the sort of person to wish death upon people. But Clownshoes who think it's a laugh to vandalise cars like that need to be put down.

Vauxhall paint is relatively soft, IIRC. Not as soft as Renault paint, but nowhere near as tough as VAG paint...

It's UV damage IIRC. Can be done by hand, but will need some serious elbow grease! Better with a Machine. There are guides on here, but basically: Wet Sand the affected area(s) Polish to finish.

DA polishers oscillate meaning that they sort of go up and down as well as round. That's an overly simplified explanation, but meh. Rotaries just go round in a circular motion, i.e Rotate. DA's are known to be easier to use due to there being less risk involved with things like heat build up...

The service packs come with an oil filter?

I've got Sonus pads, and didn't find them to be much good. They're okay, I just didn't get much success with removing the swirls from my paint with them. Hardier than the Menz pads by what Richy says. I got a few Lake Country pads and prefer them, if I'm honest, they were a lot easier to use...

There's a few of us in the Oxford area, but Atouba's right, we're not really covered as such. Some of the meets are quite accessible though, such as Camberley, Baskingstoke etc.

Does the badge on the grille of the Astra say VVT?

I guess it suits the mats and (possible) interior neons
