Clios are getting almost as bad as S2000's and FTO's.
Mind, as many S2ks wind up in ditches as Clios, just the S2ks are more usually standard, wheras the Clio's are all bastardised to one degree or another.
Cooo, bad luck there.
Guess that puts the brakes on any modz now. Leave it as is until the insurance is less rapey.
As for the smartbox, coooo, you'd better drive like a good boy now else that premium will only ever go up.
90% driver error, usually.
If my boggo 172 can handle roundabouts at barely-acceptable speeds, a cup'd 182 should do.
Coilovers may help, but only if set-up to be sensible (i.e not "wel sik lowz"). In fairness, I'd keep the Cup suspension and spend the money on a track day with an instructor...
Although something CAN be done.
doesn't mean it SHOULD be done.
Like, for instance, Adele.
Seriously, if you start thinking it'd be a good idea, hit yourself, hard.
Then open a 90-day savings account and each time you see a "Mod" you like the look of, put the money in the savings account instead.
I was hoping it would be an MG ZS 180 for a minute there.
Trophy looks nice, it's running on the standard suspension too by the look of it too, yes? If so, kudos for not having decided that the internet knows better than RenaultSport!
I've always gone for Conti's on my 172.
In fairness, that does mean I don't know what the others are like in comparison but I find the Consitsports wear well, grip well in all but snow and aren't massively noisey either
Well, yes, but if you only need 120gb (or whatever the big ones are these days) you can junt mount the iPod as a drive.
Have done for years, always worked fine
Dunno, my aging 172 has got those bumper-ruining sprayers on the nose, but that's old design for you
Some manufacturers make the sprays pop-up when used.
