I recently bought a head unit which has aux connection so I can plug it into my iPod, but I have nowhere to put the iPod so I can change the songs on it easily
I need a dock/holder what fits somewhere to the interior so I can just reach down and press one of the buttons on my iPod just like on...
Could possibly be the TDC sensor. Sometimes it just won't start if the TDC sensor breaks and sometimes it will start only sometimes. Is there a warning light on the dash or anything?
CCs?
I'm not being tight or anything lol I just want to do it tomorrow :D
I'll have a go at the coat hanger if I can find one and see if I can dig a few nails out of my garage haha.
Hey,
I've bought a new head unit which is arriving tomorrow and I was wondering how/if I could remove my factory one without that special little tool that slots into the holes because I don't have those.
Any method/advice is welcomed!
Thanks :)
Thanks!
I was actually looking at those earlier, bit too 'girly' for me. I'm actually after some black ones though, not sure what style/model/make or anything yet.
I own a MK2 PH2 Clio Dynamique and I'm after some new alloys.
I was wondering what I'd need to look out for when buying them, like sizes and stuff, and what would be the maximum size i could get for my car without it rubbing etc.
Thanks :)
TDC sensor might be knackered. You can get a new one with wiring thingy for 40 quid from Renault. If there's a warning light on the dash then it might be that.
Where can I get some (cheap) so they flash the right colour but the actual bulbs are clear/not amber?
Also will any bulb work or do I need to be searching for a particular number/type?
Thanks in advance.
It's a ph2. I'm going to do as much as I can to make it look like a sport starting with the colour-coding (I've not had it long so not much has been done so far). :P
My mate just said he can get these badges as his friend has has his sides smoothed.
I bought a new TDC sensor from Renault and they gave me a the thing that plugs into it with the extra wires (loom).
The colours of the wires on my car are green and white and the colours on the part they gave me are pink and yellow.
Which ones do I attatch to where?!?!
Quick replies...
I got a cat C 1.2 Dynamique, all that had happened was the bumper got smashed and bonnet bent a little bit. No damage to the underneath and was repaired to as-good-as-new, passed the insurance checks and MOT etc.
Cat D is often something just like a smashed headlight but the insurance would...
Thanks guys, great help. :)
What about wwiring the existing loom to the part I have? I know it plugs in but Renault gave me this little extra bit with the loom on it, I know you said it might be hard if it's faded etc. but I'm unsure on how to connect it to the existing one without it just...
I've already got the parts I was just wondering how much Renault would charge on top of the £40 I paid for the part + extra wiring bit. I was worried about the lack of room as DrRollo has said, would I have to get it jacked up and go underneath it?
How much would Renault charge to replace this and the other bit with the loom on it? (I've got both the parts already).
Or would it be better going to an independent garage?
Anyone done it themselves?
I've just ordered a crank angle sensor from Renault today, my car was doing the exact same thing and a man from FAM told me this would be the cheapest option.
The part itself was only £19 and he said it's easy to fit yourself as it's only two screws and its in.
Could this be the loom wire then?
I looked at it and found that the box to protect it had worn the wires down though the insulation etc. and they are now exposed.
Could it be just this preventing my car from starting?
Thanks
