What's the loom? I looked in a little box on the engine and a few wires have been worn down, is it that? If so how much to repair?
Thanks for all the replies. :)
Does anyone else have an idea of what this could be? I replaced the battery with a BOSCH one costing me £50, still doesn't start the engine and the light in the first post is still on as well as the little engine shaped light on the bottom right of the dash.
They are ice blue as opposed to white so I reckon they'll have a bit more of a blue-tint than the pure white ones usually do.
*Mr. State-the-obvious* :)
My light is on the exact same too, but mine won't start. I'm thinking it's something to do with the battery, fingers crossed.
Is the check from Renault definitely £75? Aas well as having to pay to fix it on-top of that?
Well when I charged the 'broken' battery up the little electronics light was lit up so if I put the brand new one in then hopefully it should just work as you've said.
Thanks. :)
There's a set of silver 2.0 16v badges on eBay, or at least there was earlier today. Maybe there will be the other stuff you want on there too. :)
Good luck with it all!
Hey, I think I've found the problem with my car not starting - my battery is broken. I gave it a charge today and put it back in, it wouldn't start up and the little electrical light thingy telling me the engine has been immobilised was still on.
I'm buying a new battery tomorrow, but when I...
Ah I see, looks like I'll have to take it to Renault then. :(
Any idea how much it would cost? I know it'll depend on what the problem is, but a rough estimate?
Thanks for both your replies!
Edit: I think the light you mentioned above is on, yes. (One shaped like an engine)
What could this mean?
It was working perfectly last night, this morning I go to start it up and it just won't. The dash displayed this:
I have no idea what this is as my car didn't come with the handbook
(hopefully one will arrive tomorrow which I ordered).
I don't want to take it straight to Renault as they'll...
Thanks for the advice, yeah that's why I'm asking here just so I have a basic understanding so I don't get ripped off. :)
Thanks I'll look into those, what model was yours?
Again thanks for the reply.
By question 1 I meant 'I've been told that a sub isn't needed sometimes because there are...
I don't really know much about these so I'm kindly asking for your advice. :)
I'm after buying an amp + sub for my Clio, so I have a few questions. I have a budget of about £300 for the lot.
1. I've heard that you can get amps which provide a high amount of bass similar to a sub would and...
I'm wondering this too.
I was wondering if Renault would sell spray paint of some sort to match their colours so that I could just spray my black plastic and it would match the rest of the car.
