Well its now been a week since i swapped the 172 for my MK3 1.2 16v due to insurance, petrol and road tax prices so i thought id give it a wash.
hahaha dont be stupid, me get rid of the 172 i dont think so!!!!!! thats one of the driving school cars ive been using due to the 172 having...
saw an inferno 182 today when i was coming back from fergusons of stirling, it was just coming off the stirling services roundabout going towards the bus depot
had a private reg on it starting or ending in GAZ cant quite remember!
EK9 is awesome, my mate has one, it goes handles and sounds awesome only thing i didnt like was the serious lack of torque but thats to be expected from a 1.6 that revs to 9k! lol
brakes are designed for a 150bhp car so they are fine! if you want a bit more bite then some decent pads but if i was you id save your money and go for standard disks and standard pads (or standard disks and EBC greenstuff pads are a good combo if you dont like brake dust!)
if you want "cool"...
how loud is the "standard stainless steel exhaust" mate? just noticed ur only up the road in airdrie and im looking for a clio for my girlfriend, she really wants a red 1 but she'll just have to take what she gets if its the right price haha
get a 1.5 dci, insurance will be about the same as the 1.2 but it will get twice the mpg and just as powerfull, plus more torque makes it much better than a torqueless 1.2!
thats what i done on my 172 at 18, just went 3rd party fire n theft as if i crashed it i wasnt up for claiming and screwing my chances of faster cars for the next 5 years!
sorry to hear about it mate
im a manager in somerfield and both my 172 and another managers 182 have both been keyed in the last 6 months along with tyres slashed and people running up peoples bonnets and over the roof etc
