why not?
i know my old 1.2 16v would out handle and out brake my 172 no problem! it was a brilliant laugh to drive just lacked straight line speed. and down a twisty backroad would have been just as fast
back to the question....
my old 1.2 16v was RR'd at just under 85bhp with cat back...
threw the old one in the bin last week lol!
apparently renault got a dodgey batch that were 2" too small or something the parts dept said, so thats why they cant get me one! dont know how true that is?
power wise you wont gain much, put it will improve driveability and as far as im led to beleive from people who have the RStuner, a good low down torque gain
anyone know the length of the off side handbrake cable on a 172?
ive had 2 now from renault and both have been 2 short, so got 1 from a motor factors today and would rather find out if its 2 short before i try to fit it, this ones 136cm long and i forgot to measure the renault ones before i...
i only pay £1200 on my 172 at 19 in my own name with 1years ncb fully comp, it will cost you twice that to do a decent replica so its worth a thought....
just walk into the workshop and ask one of the mechanics if they want a homer, thats what i done and got my cambelt done for £200 + parts
also got the book stamped for me
it expands much more than my old twin 3" powerflow on my 1.2, but apart from that its mint! best sounding exhaust ive heard, really sporty and not loud
yes mate i like the race car look
of course its not ment to sit so low its not in the rear hanger in the pics, they were taken during fitting!
this is it now...
surprizingly easy lol i thought the bolts at the joint between centre section and cat were never gonna come off but gave they a spray of WD40, 5 minz later tried to get them off and they came off fine, were totally rusted too lol
i took loads of pics so ill put a guide up on friday when im off :)
deffo the battery as after the starter motor makes that funny noise you hear the dials needles "vibrating" for a second, dont know why they do it but always see it on clios with flat batterys
i know some people here have been negative etc about the car but to be honest R20 CWH was one of the once who said something decent instead of the usual comments bodykitted cars get, but still you tried to shoot him down in flames for pointing out to you that you dont have a clio V6 spoiler...
little video, nothing special taken on my phone which doesnt pick up the sound that well and because the windows were down eventually you cant hear it! but anyway......

id say about 3 hours to remove old one, fit new one, cut bumper, adjust it etc its not the easyest job on axel stands lol!
uploading a video right now ;)

its transformed the car, pulls harder, feels quicker, flys through the revs
