I've never been a fan of Rainsport 3, too soft and wear rate is rubbish. I got 4k miles out of a pair of fronts on a 182 running 15's
Have you looked at Hankook Prime 3 K125? I was going to throw a set of these on my MR2, but sold it in the end. Seem to get decent reviews, and tests seem to...
@TRB182
What size centre silencer did you have installed mate? gives me a better idea of what to order myself.
I'll measure up to double check before ordering something, but i'm looking at either 4" or 5" diameter, and either 14" or 18" long. Leaner more towards 4" and 14" long
Cheers
Cheers mate, that does sound like it's made a big difference. Is that still running with the decat?
I'm going to get the CAT sorted first and work from there. If i end up getting a centre box, i'll have to have a full replacement pipe added, as I'll intend to revert back once i can have another...
It's just too loud every day for an hour each way to be honest. If it was fun driving then it'd be fine, but 95% of my journey is either bumper to bumper queuing or 40-50mph roads with average speed camera. it's a little over 20 miles.
I've had 182's before with decats, and they've not been...
This is what i was looking at. They seem to get pretty decent reviews for performance too, and if it did fail it'd be cheap to replace.
Is the 2.5" the internal dia for these. I'm wondering if i could clamp a 2.5" decat pipe to either side for ease (or at least temporarily).
Well the PMS CAT isn't a direct fit, as my system is a 2.25" system and the CAT is 2.5", but that's fairly easy to sort with a reducer. It just looks like the cat is kinked slightly. But i'm guessing if the exhaust system works with a standard Cat, then the sports cat should line up.
This was...
I'm currently looking at cat options as i'd like to ditch my decat for a bit. I'm using my 182 to commute to work again now, and will probably be for the foreseeable future.
I'm reluctant to buy another second hand 182 cat, as the prices are a bit silly, and there getting old now.
So been...
I fitted the febi top mount the other week, as said above you don't need the spacer nut. The febi mounts are based on the old top mount design, so you can reuse the original nut.
The new Renault mount require the new spacer nut, due to a slightly different design.
You don't need spring...
Well I ordered the Ryobi last night in bed using there click and collect service, so paying on collection. As i wanted to ensure i could collect it today, as might not get chance later in the week. Just wanted to make sure it was worth a punt before collecting it.
The battery concerns me a...
I've been looking for a decent cheap impact wrench for working on my car, after having issues removing the pinch bolt on a ball joint this weekend. Then thinking of all the times one would really have come in handy. I do pretty much all my own work on all my cars, except for timing belts.
I...
Personal don't think the 182 looks that good in LY. Though I don't think I've ever seen one in person. So maybe I can't really comment. I do like the colour on other models though.
For the money they go for, I'd rather have a trophy.
Saying that I wanted a silver 182 late time around and ended...
I run mine as a daily now too. My commute is a lot of 40 and 50 mph average speed zones, and it's pretty quiet at that speed. It gets worse with speed after about 50-55mph and it's a pain on the motorway.
I did notice that it got quieter after about around 1-2k miles too.
As mentioned above...
You just need to buy the correct adaptor to link the aftermarket radio to the stalk controller:

I believe this is correct, bookmarked it a few years ago, and never purchased. So probably worth...
Whats peoples thought on the OnePlus 7T, non pro?
I'm wanting to replace my Note 8, it's coming up to 2 years old now, and the battery isn't as solid as it was, plus the Camera seems to be getting worse. The camera being the reason i bought it to replace my old OnePlus 3 at the time. Annoying...
Surely if they're going to stop making a petrol RS Clio then the values of the older cars will only go up as there numbers start to fall.
Either way it makes no difference to me keeping or selling my 182.
I would like an electric car at some point though. The Zoe would probably be too small...
Got these on mine. Though I didn't have any issues with the angle that i recall.
Where abouts is the painter you've used. I'm going to have to get a few bits sorted on mine next year i think. You're looks awesome in the pictures
I did try upping the pressure quite a few times, before giving up on them.
I've had NS-2R in the past, and they're not good in the wet. Similar to driving T1R's i'd say. The AD08R is basically a road tyre, that can be used on track. Provided there isn't loads of standing water, they handle the...
I think it was just due to the softer construction, the stability wasn't great with the PS3's. Felt like the rim was rolling over the tyre, much like when running Rainsport 3's.
I just had no confidence in them when throwing the car into a fast corner. The grip wasn't bad, but in anything other...
The clutches in these cars is heavy regardless. I've had 5 182's over the years with various milage, and even had new clutches and cables fitted. Made no difference in my experience
I tried a set of Pilot sport 3 last winter, and I wasn't impressed at all. I was much happier when I ditched them for another set of AD08R's.
Just as good in the wet for me as PS3's, but much better feel and confidence with them. I'll be using AD08R's on my 182 through this winter as it's my...
@massivewangers
I bought some BG paint from AutoPaint St. Helens a while ago to attempt to spray a front bumper, but ended up buying a replacement due to the weather being too cold to spray at the time, so can't comment on the quality of the paint or paint matching. But i did find quite a lot...
Does anyone know the part number for the spring below numbered 23?
Noticed this was missing a while ago, but not got around to replacing it. and after fitting a pms shifter, i've still got more movement than i'd expect, so hoping this might be part of the issue.
Selling my wife's old car, as we've replaced it with a mk6 Golf

Ad is a little shitty as it was rushed late last night to get something up before the weekend. Will probably update it at some point this weekend.
Open to reasonable offers to shift it.
