Running 2 cars, is it cheaper???

Driving it on the motorway shouldn't run it in to the ground if you look after it.

Running 2 cars, is it cheaper???

No point, the clio will be worth the best part of nothing in a few years no matter what miles and its not like they are single figures on mpg.

Just got my first Clio :)

I wouldn't say that is over priced at all with that millage if the rest of it is good also.

    Clio 172 justified?

I know how to drive smoothly thanks! I would expect to get those figures doing said journey but if just doing short journeys to work and shops etc you wont.

    Mine doesn't!

    Clio 172 justified?

You only get 48mpg doing silly slow motorway speeds. For most in reality it's 38-40 on the motorway, 30-34 general. Still very good though. Parts such as tyres, disks and pads etc are not bad compared to other similar paced hot hatches.

    wheel Refurb (york)

If you can get to cas coatings in Bradford then you will probably save more than the extra cost in fuel getting there. They're very good.

Have a re-read of the thread and have a think about what we are saying... All you are doing is changing the flow/source of the same air that is getting to your standard filter. Nothing has changed as such, it's still just the same fresh air. With some of the after market induction kits then the...

    More Grunt

All air feeds do is feed (or if you prefer, direct) the flow of air to the filter. Simple as that! Open induction kits will and do suffer from heat soak but with both methods we've mentioned this is minimal if not nothing. Either way it WILL NOT do any more harm to the engine than keeping it as...

how often do you "heel and toe"?

I just match the revs when driving normally. Only heal and toe when thrashing it. Seems much easier to do when giving it some imo. I also find the trainers i'm wearing at the time makes a big difference to how easy/hard it is to do.

I don't think heat soak is a problem with this method my self. You still have the other air feed attached and the one unplugged will be drawing enough cold air to the area which is away from most of the heat anyway.

Doesn't effect MPG/performance at all. Lift your bonnet and on the right next to the battery you will see the air box with the feed coming out of the right just infront of the battery. Squeeze the top and bottom (iirc) of said pipe as its kind of clipped in and pull it out. Then just put it to...

No it wont, it's just an air feed lol. The air will still have to pass through the filter... It just gives you more induction noise and sounds like it has a lot more grunt. Literally takes 1 min to do and try...

Just pull the air feed away from the side of the air box. Job done and free;).

What to do? Swap 197 for 182?

It might not be a reason you would use. But you might have more money than other on here to not have to care about such things! At my age with insurance been relatively cheap anyway then the difference between the two would not be enough compared to the amount of miles/extra fuel I'd have to...

What to do? Swap 197 for 182?

It's all relative though. For many the fuel consumption of 1*2 is as bad as they are willing to go/can comfortably afford to spend.

197 fuel is the one thing that would put me off ever getting one as my next car. Shame really because I do like them:(.

    Centre Speakers of sub

Getting the speakers angles right can make a big difference over just having them set to 90' to the TV if thats how you have yours?

    Centre Speakers of sub

Doubt you need a sub with those KEF's although a good one wouldn't hurt. I'd be looking at a decent center speaker and if you put your mind to it a pair of decent but small/discrete surrounds mounted on to the walls.
