Just been out to check mine, is it the rectangular hole at the back right? If so then I have no cap on it and it just goes into the footwell and I can feel a pipe with foam on it behind it. I'm guesing this is what yours was like after it broke?
Oh well If it only works at the same temp as the...
Might go and try that then on the next fill up although prob costs more to get there than what I will save:( .
I'd go to a mini meet if one is arranged:)
Cheers, and as said the vid dosn't do it justice. Sounds great now the boomyness (if that is a word?:S ) has gone.
You should go to DCMS BURNLEY (was topgear) if you intend to get one, not far from you. From what I read before getting mine, alot depends on where it's done;) .
I also got a CS...
I got my stealth done there, told them they were recomended by people on here and got it it for £250:D . They did a good job but I did have to go back and get bigger rubber mounts put on for the back box, although they did it for free.
I got the quietest one and its just a little louder than a...
I use this one, http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7400081/Trail/C%24cip%3D1500011159.Garden%2C%2BDIY%2Band%2Bleisure%3EC%24cip%3D1500011188.Car%2Bequipment%3EC%24cip%3D1500011193.Car%2Bsecurity%2Band%2Bsafety.htm
I would like to see them get that off in 5-10 sec. If your going...
Is the cup always the the quickest though?
I hear allot of people on here saying that the BHP figures vary allot. I know one of the reasons for picking mine was because it felt the quickest on the test drives! I've also kept with a cup on a straight before.
As for corners I would say it came...
I see, cheers. Well I supose I will have to wait and see tomorrow. Just hope they dont try charging me a load extra saying it was the engine mount that caused it. Will cost me 80-100 miles worth petrol/time just to get there and back as it is:dapprove:
Are you talking the engine mount or exhaust mounts? (or both!) The exhust mounts didn't seem to bad before I had it put on but they didn't use them either. They were removed and they used there own mounting system.
Just started hearing a knocking noise in my boot on the way home today. When I got in I had a look and both the mounts for the back box on my Powerflow stealth have given way.
I only got it fitted in January this year so gave the place a call and they said to bring it in tomorrow. They also...
My 53 plate was 6k last Oct which seemed good compared to others I looked at. Shortly after getting it the radiator started leaking from the bottom where I couldn't see it (new one fitted under warranty). Then the following month the back box decided to drop off. So got new powerflow for £250...
Its just as heavy up here to you know;) Its good to drive a lesser powered car once in a while though. Although I haven't had chance yet with the clio:( .
Mines a 53 plate and the radiator went a month after getting it last october. Cost the AA £350 to replace. Think if you shop around that would be cheaper though.
Best I have had is 36-38 on the motorway but that was setting it as soon as I filled up and did a little bit of town driving. (plus giving at a few blasts along the way:o ).
Arn't the 172's meant to be slightly better than the 182's on fuel?
Some more good pics;) . That corsa bombed it passed me flying across 3 lanes on the way home going into Leeds like abit of a tit, stank too:rolleyes: .
I'm also guessing no one else saw that TVR that had binned it in those tunnel things that go through Leeds center then? Nasty bit of front end...
Out of the two I would have a 197 every time, but I can't afford one:( . If I was spending that much cash on a car I'm not sure thats what I'd choose though.
Still the 1*2's are still one of the best bang for buck cars out there and in a few years time maybe the 197 will be the same??
