TLC on these really does negate a lot of the 'issues' you'd expect with high mileage. What's the age of the 182 by the way? The key ones to look out for are the auxiliary belts (every 36,000 iirc?) and the cambelt at every 60,000. The former has the potential to take out the latter if it goes...

Does it do it on every gearchange - regardless of whether or not the car is up to temperature? Any evidence that it's had the gearbox oil drained and replaced? I doubt a simple oil change would rectify your issues - but it may do if the crunch noise is only sporadic? D.

Finished the SP campaign earlier. Had a quick HC TDM match online and so far, it's a bit meh. Somehow I got 4 kills, yet actively only scoped up and shot one enemy from what I recall. Some very weird hit detection going on - both against the enemy and against me. Decentish ping in the low 20s...

Sorted my PC crashes out by simply going back to the previous nVidia WHQL driver from early October, iirc? Restarted the PC and tried it. It's not crashed once since. I'm amazed it was something so simple - I haven't had to rollback a graphics driver in goddamn years! ;) D.

The cambelt would be a definite - especially given the fact that they are MUCH easier to replace on a 1.2 than an RS Clio. Also, like you say, you have no real history on the car. Spark plugs would be another definite for me (as sbridgey says) and also get that gearbox oil changed. As for the...

That - and a few others m8! It's crashed each of the 5 times that I've launched - sometimes immediately, other times about 10mins in. Only once has the DX crash error been the same. The remaining were all other DX issues! D.

I agree. It's a small omission (at the minute) - but by christ, does that Atom need shading under the wheels. From the cockpit view - it just looks silly. And then come the exhaust flames...... :dead: D.
