100% worth it when playing docked. It is a good controller and battery life is really good too. I want to get a switch 2 pro controller as it has subtle differences and it turns the console on whereas the 1st gen controller doesn't turn it on (turns the switch 1 on obviously).

Just to add to this, I had a tinker with mine the other night and put the latest version of ArkOS on and used a new Samsung SD card I purchased over a year ago. Chuffed with it so far. Only put pokemon ROMs on for now but will add more bits when I get chance. I don't think mine is a fake...
